I'm on the fence with Jennings. Aging WR, two straight years missing significant time for injuries and now wanting boatloads of money based on his 2010 season. Doesn't sound good to me.

normally I tend to go a little more conservative with FA.  But with the money we have available, I think we go for it.  Jennings is a future HoF that knows the offense and has at least 3 good years left in him (hopefully).  I say give him the boat load of cash and draft a promising WR that can learn from him.  Mike Wallace seems like a guy who couldnt handle it if things didnt go well, and Bowe is too incosistant for me.  My wish list is Jennings and Cook Jr from the Titans.  Thats what I did on Madden anyways and my team rocks! lol

Yeah I wouldn't Mind Signing Finley and a Free Agent LT or Resign Long..

There are so many good WR Prospects in this draft with big time potential and we are in position to take any of them.. Kennan Allen,Justin Hunter, Cordarelle Patterson, Darick Rodgers, Robert Woods, Terrance Williams, Deandre Hopkins (who had a great bowl game).

I wouldn't mind doubling up in the draft at WR because this class is DEEP and depth like this  doesn't come along very often..

Oh my god if we signed Finley at TE, Signed the Best LT in free agency and our draft went like this

1. Bjorn Werner/ Dion Jordan DE
2. Cordarelle Patterson WR Tennesee
2b. Deandre Hopkins WR Clemson
3. CB Desmond Trufant Washington
3b. FS Georgia Baccarri Rambo

My god we would have a dangerous offense right there as well as addressing our defensive problems.. Probably spend the next picks on a OL/LB and we are set up nicely for a playoff run not just next year but for years after tha.

I would be reluctant to give Jennings a long term deal. If we do sign him I hope its a front loaded contract and not longer than 4 years. He's a good WR but he isn't elite and shouldn't be paid like it. He has had some nice seasons but he has had the advantage of playing with Brett Farve and Arron Rodgers and deep WR cores. I know Jennings is good and would make us much better at WR but his price is going to be frightening for a guy who probably can't sniff the top 10. I hope we sign him and really don't care how much it costs but his production probably won't match his pay check. Wallace scares me only because he doesn't seem like an all around wr. He is fast and can catch but how good is he at going over the middle on short routes? I really don't know but he just doesn't strike me as a guy who deserves a huge contract...he should be paid but Jennings is probably the better fit for us.

Dwayne Bowe is the best available FA WR this season.  He's played for some skanky KC teams with horrible QB play and constistently comes up with big numbers.  He's still young and I think is a potential top 10 WR in the right system.  Sign him.  Re-sign hartline.  Draft a DaRick Rodgers in April and also look for DB help vi draft and FA ...

Im on the fence with Hartline, He is a great teammate, great routes, great hands, good blocker but i question if there is really a need for both Bess and hartline. They offer little to no big play ability realistically and resigning hartline to a big money contract scares me a little because he can be shutdown sometimes and i know he is a safe WR but i would rather bring in a guy with a higher ceiling then Hartline.. Because i think its safe to say we have seen Hartline's ceiling.

Seeing that Bess is an excellent Slot reciever already, i might let hartline go, as im sure he will be asking around 6 million a year at least and pick up a young guy with potential. I wouldn't mind at all if we pick a guy like Bowe in free agency and pair him up with one of the 1st or 2nd round studs in this draft like Patterson,Hunter,Woods,Allen,Rodgers, Terrance Williams, Deandre Hopkins, Tavon Austin.

When Marshall was here Hartline consistently got open deep and was always missed by Henne. I don't think people understand how good Hartline and Bess would be if we had a guy that gets double teams and good TE play WITH a guy who can get them the ball.

I think we've seen really good QB play in getting an open receiver the ball. Henne was never that...

Re: offseason...put the team on his back doe

Well he does get open from time to time deep and Bess and Hartline have almost certainly the surest set of hands of any WR we have had since McDuffie. It could work if we resign hartline if we do get our Andre Johnson.. In that case i could see it working out like Houston where Kevin Walter has been a mainstay on that offense for  years due to his great hands and blocking which are 2 of hartline's stronger ability's.

On the flip side, Signing a proven Free Agent and a prospect with potential is exactly what happened in Atlanta with Roddy White and Julio Jones. That offense doesn't look to shabby either.

Overall i would be good with resigning hartline just because of the great hands, route running, and most importantly he is an excellent blocking WR.

RE: offseason...put the team on his back doe

If just like to throw out there that I would like to sign Hartline and Bowe AND still go wr with pick one. We obviously will be compared to Green Bay alot because of Philbin. Id like to do some comparison of my own:

GB WR's
Randall Cobb
James Jones
Jordy Nelson
Greg Jennings

Miami WR's
FA#1
DP#1
Hartline
Bess

This is an offense that will go 4 wide on the regular and sometimes 5 with a TE or RB split out.

If you were to plug Bowe, Wallace, or Jennings into that top spot and a Allen, Patterson, or Woods into that #2 spot. This would be the makings of an offense that can put up 30 points a game and hang with ANYONE with our current defense.

RE: offseason...put the team on his back doe

I agree if we had a true #1 Hartline would put up even better numbers. Should be #1 priority to resign. Bush should be resigned if he is willing to play for about the same money and a somewhat diminished role, Lamar Miller needs to be the primary ball carrier, Bush needs to be relief and sometimes 3rd or 4th WR and even return punts. I would even resign Long if he was willing to take less money say 6-7 mill and there no way I pay Smith more than 4 or 5. What I have a problem with is Richard Marshall do we keep him around or dump him ?
