Looks like we will draft ...

# 12 ... according to an updated draft site...

Here are the 1st 17 teams.....

TEAMS W L
1 Kansas City 2 14
2 Jacksonville 2 14
3 Oakland 4 12
4 Philadelphia 4 12
5 Detroit 4 12
6 Cleveland 5 11
7 Arizona 5 11
8 Buffalo 6 10
9 NY Jets 6 10
10 Tennessee 6 10
11 San Diego 7 9
12 Miami 7 9
13 Tampa Bay 7 9
14 Carolina 7 9
15 New Orleans 7 9
16 St. Louis 7 8 1
17 Pittsburgh 8 8

Now I think our needs could be any one of these positions -

CB -

Dee Milliner, CB, Alabama (Jr.)

Alabama’s Dee Milliner is a big, athletic, instinctive and physical cornerback good enough to be a top-10 pick.

Johnthan Banks, CB, Mississippi State

Having traded Vontae Davis prior to the start of this season, the Miami Dolphins need another cornerback to start across from Sean Smith. Drafting one in the first round would make sense in this scenario, as Mississippi State’s Johnthan Banks is a very good all-around cornerback prospect and good value in the middle of the first round.

Banks has the size, athleticism, instincts and physicality to match up with the NFL’s best wide receivers. He could give the Dolphins a formidable duo at the position for years to come.

WR -

Robert Woods, WR, USC (Jr.)

The best all-around wide receiver in the class is USC’s Robert Woods, who could become an immediate go-to target for Ryan Tannenhill.

Woods does not have the prototypical size and speed of a top wide receiver prospect, but he is a terrific route-runner with great hands. He may not burn opposing cornerbacks with his speed, but he can, more importantly, consistently get open and has the open-field quickness to make plays after the catch.
(I think at 12, Woods would be a reach)

Keenan Allen, WR. California

While a highly productive player against quality competition, Allen does not boast the elite size-speed combination that has led A.J. Green, Julio Jones and Justin Blackmon to earn a top 10 selection in recent years. Allen is athletic and capable of turning short catches into long gains due to his agility, balance and vision but does not possess elite acceleration. Allen's size, physicality and relatively precise route-running should help him emerge as a legitimate No. 1 wideout in the NFL, especially in a timing-based West Coast Offense that caters to his strengths.
(his stock has really risen recently)

TE -

Tyler Eifert, TE, Notre Dame (Jr.)

A prototypical tight end with great size and athleticism, Eifert is a vertical receiving threat and also an adequate blocker. He is better than any wide receiver in the draft class, and he could help the Dolphins offense as a downfield playmaker and provide help in run-blocking.

OT -

Eric Fisher, OT, Central Michigan

It appears as though Jake Long will not be back with the Dolphins next year. Miami will have to pay him more than $15 million if it franchises him, which doesn't seem like a lucrative option because he's coming off a down season. He may not want to re-sign to a long-term deal either, so if he leaves, the Dolphins will have to find a new left tackle. Why not another Michigan product? Well, Central Michigan, but close enough.

Taylor Lewan, OT, Michigan (Jr.)

Lewan is a well-rounded left tackle who plays with a combination of strength, footwork, leverage and technique that make him a good fit to lead a line at the next level. He could be an immediate replacement for Jake Long.

Jake Matthews, OT, Texas A&M (Jr.)

Matthews has the potential to be excellent as either a left or right tackle at the next level. Matthews is a standout right tackle at A&M, but if it wasn’t for Luke Joeckel on the left side, he would likely be dominant at that position as well. Matthews is a very skilled pass-blocker with great length and athleticism for an offensive tackle.

( I think if we don't go WR, because he is from Texas A&M, if our coaches like him , he will be the pick)

Feel free to add any players you might think we should pick...

Re: Looks like we will draft ...

The 2 times I saw Woods play, I wasn't very impressed with him.

I would add some DE's to that list.  If we can get another impact DE, move Odrick to DT and let Vernon get reps in passing situations, we could be dangerous on defense.  Add an upgrade over Clemons or another good CB, and we could be elite.

We need a corner, but with such a high pick we should probably get the best lineman available...maybe corner in the second.

I have a new favorite WR in this upcoming draft and his name is Cordarrelle Patterson from Tennesee. He is raw but will immpress at the combine and I think he will do enough to be taken in the first round. Some will say he is a reach with our placement but he is the offensive weapon we need. A big, fast receiver that will turn into an all pro IMO.

Go for Wallace as a FA.  Take best OLB or OT in round 1. Use round 2 for a CB and another WR or TE.

2 things I don't want to see in this draft is us drafting an O-lineman or trading up to the 20's. Stay put and pick a player who will take the football into the endzone. The biggest problem we have had all year is WR no need to forget about that.

RE: Looks like we will draft ...

Dee Milliner would be my choice, tough physical, smart CB. Our secondary is horrible!. Not to mention, he knows how to catch the ball unlike Sean Smith. He would be a steal at #12. You know he's a solid player coming from Bama. :)

Go Dolphins!

That dude smoked my boys in the first game this year. We couldnt do anything with him. And he is big (like 6'3"- 220) and pretty fast (like 4.5), too. I think you are right about 1st rd.

He is big and fast. 6'3 and returning kicks as well. I have read that he could run a 4.3 at the combine. He has Reggie bush type moves. He is rated as the 5th best wr at the moment and I fully expect him to jump in the top 3 (maybe 2) much like Stephen Hill did last year. He would be the perfect fit in our offense.

RE: Looks like we will draft ...

It's still a 2nd rd pick and we do Not get the conditional 6th rd pick from Indy because Davis didn't meet the games requirement in the deal.

These are the picks that the Miami Dolphins have going into the 2013 NFL Draft:

1st Round (Assigned – #12 Overall)
2nd Round (Assigned – #42 Overall)
2nd Round (Colts – Subject to change)
3rd Round (Assigned – #77 Overall)
3rd Round (Chicago – #82 Overall)
4th Round (Assigned)
5th Round (Assigned)
7th Round (Assigned)

These picks have been traded away:

6th Round (San Francisco)

I fully expect him to be drafted in the top 15.  Hopefully to us at 12 :)

I love all of your SEC picks, but I would take CB Dee Milliner at #12,  I don't think Patterson will last to the 42nd pick....but if he did, I would be on him like white on rice!

Go Dolphins!

Just say no to OL in the 1st round!  Outside of that, I like the positions you've targeted.

RE: Looks like we will draft ...

we better get a cb if we dont draft a wr in rd 1 .

the problem is that Ireland is still the gm so i fully expect to have another sub par draft . on the flip side maybe we will make a effort to land some free agents .
