RE: week 17 game in new england

I read that they changed the game time so they could keep the Broncos Browns game from becoming a dud. If the Texans and Pats lose at 1 pm then the Broncos game is meaningless so they moved the Pats Phins to 4 so that both teams will have to give their all, might not be completely accurate but thats the idea. Sounds like whoever made this decision has Peyton Manning on his fantasy team.

When a game gets flexed to the night, others get moved around to fill voids left behind.

The switch suits me massively.  I've been given tickets in the Directors box for the QPR vs Liverpool match on Sunday.  I don't like soccer that much but there's free food and drink, a 3 course meal and a comfy suite to watch it in.   I'll be back home in plenty of time for the game now.  Sweet!

I get to go to the owners tent during the St. Peterburg Indy car race every year too because my company sponsors a car. I hate Indy Car racing but there isn't much that would keep me from going. Free food, free beer, free shirts, hats, pens, beer holders, sun block, ect...

I don't like the matchup, but I'm hopeful we'll ruin the 2nd seed for the Patriots.

Mrs. - It always fells like football season is too short. It seems all other sports take forever, but football season is over before you know it.

I can't agree more. I must say I do enjoy the offseason almost as much as the regular season sometimes. Its a different kind of exciting and its very spread out but free agency and the draft are pretty interesting...some years.

As far as todays game goes I am kind of feeling like we aren't going to show up. We are outmatched, its cold, its late, and our season is over already. If we keep this interesting or win I will be shocked.

*sigh*   it's been a whole lot of fun, mixed with nearly equal part frustration.  Makes me wish next year was just around the corner.

At least I can watch the game on tv this week and not the internet.

Depending on what Dolphins show up today, I'll either be sorry the season is over already feeling like it went by too fast coolfrown

or

flushedgaah.gif  I'll be completely sick to my stomach & pissed off and very glad the season is over and look to next year.

It's up to them. tonguebiggrin

I wouldn't base the entire season on what happens today.  We were expected to be the doormat of the AFC East.  We turned out to be better than that.

I don't see this being a close game. I just can't see the Pats playing crappy football three weeks in a row. I don't think there's gonna be a lot of throwing either. Winds are gusting here at around 35 mph and it feels like it's 19 degrees.

Yeah, definitely not basing the entire season on this game.  Just saying how this game will either leave a sweet or bitter taste for the offseason.

Real cold.  Should be interesting how different we play quarter to quarter with the wind.

I like what I saw from Binns on that last sack.  He saw the play break down and went for the long ball.  Matthews kinda froze right next to him.  I'm going to take back what I said about Hartline.  I hope we do resign him as a real solid #2 guy.

I was hoping for Reggie to get to 1,000 yds for the season. Doesn't look like that's gonna happen! DAMN!

They need to stop giving him the ball until we're able to open things up a bit.  Does he have any yards this half?
