does this stunt anger you?

its on yahoo ain page  but Frank Gore  had a hoodie  made up with a dead dolphin logo  and he wore it after the game  and it angers me only  that we seem to be the only nfl team that gets  embarrassed  with these types of stunts.

this may not be new  but I have yet to see other teams  where the masscot / logo  gets mocked like this .  I have yet to see  the Bears  , Eagles  or  Cadrinals  have their logos mocked  in a disrespected  public  joke.

this really makes me  Hate MR. Ross  and the crappy gm  and I dont like using the word hate towards any person.

the loss  was disgusting enough but to see my team mocked like this  is unacceptable to me .

I know  i may be the only fan to be put off by this but I cant help it.

I dont expect for other fans to respect us but come on this kind of disrepsect just doesn't fly .bangheadbangheadbangheadbangheadbanghead

Kind of shows lack of class on Gore's part don't you think? Take it for what it is a classless act by a classless guy.

It doesnt bother me one bit. Why? Because this franchise is a joke. Look how we've been playing. I'm sorry to say but if the other team whoops are ass week in and week out then we don't deserve respect. AT ALL!!! Thank you Ross and Ireland

You guys aren't fans. Why don't you just slide on over to the patriot board and jump on their wagon. With fans like you the certainly don't need enemies.

I love when you come on this board and state facts about how crappy this team is and people think you're a fair weather fan. I have been a fan since "73" and will never ever root for another team!! You don't like the truth. Too bad either you're on board for the long haul like myself and deal with what we have or get the f%#k off this board!!

Yeah it says a lot when you become a fan the year after they go undefeated. I have been a fan since 1967 when they rarely won. Don't tell me about thick or thin   censored.gif   . But I'm tired of listening to so called fans like yourself saying nothing but negative crap. I love this team and I always root for them through the good times and the bad.      censored.gif       . And you get off this board!

There are a ton of worse franchises to be a fan of Ex Jags,Browns, panthers, that have been through a much harder time then we have. Say managment or the players are a joke, When you say franchise you are insinuating everything that goes with the dolphins, Fans (us), Team, History are a joke.

By the way Broadway, You should be the last person commenting here about a franchise that is a joke.. You have freaking barnum bailey circus over there in Jetland. I watch the jets highlights waiting for them to blowup in a turnoverfest and halfway expect Rex Ryan to put on a clown outfit and Sanchez to pass around peanuts.

Good luck making the playoffs with your cake walk schedule, I hope you make it and get trounced 58-0 because thats about how good your team is. Can beat jacksonville by only one TD and Arizona by a point..  Arizona lost 58-0 to the seahawks LMAO yeah you guys are going somewhere this year.excitedexcitedexcitedexcited

The Dolphins need change their current culture if they want so called respect. It's like when the players said they felt disrespected when the Patriots ran the same running play over and over back to back (with huge success). Well if you're not gonna stop the play then why should they???????? I almost passed out laughing.

I'd say you have better odds asking Fireman Ed for his hat.

In terms of negativity, as long as our Phins have losing seasons, chances are there's going to be more negative than positive.  noidea  That's just common sense.  We're not gonna be happy and dancing in flower fields singing the sound of music with a losing season / franchise.

Likewise, when we start finishing seasons 9-7, 10-6, 11-5, 12-4, etc - I'm willing to bet more posts lean positive than negative.  Just the nature of the beast.

Yeah, if you don't like what they're doing, then do something about it and stop them. Not complain about it.  I agree.

On the flip side, I think what makes it more difficult these days in this generation of football is, if the other team did that....ran the same play at you over and over.....gone are the days where a Ronnie Lott or Mike Singletary would send a clear message with a solid snot-bubble-blowing (as Lott referred to it) warning shot.  I'm not talking about a dirty hit, I'm just talking about a hard, textbook legal hit.  Guy goes back to the huddle and says, "Let's not run that play again, please.  Also, what's my name?  I can't remember."

But see we can't have that any more.  That will be a flag and a fine and possible suspension now because that's dangerous!!!!  No more kickoffs, either!!!!

I've been saying this for a while, but a color change, uni change needs to take place. the same colors from the retro Miami 1960's isn't cutting it anymore. Aqua and Teal, are you f'in kidding me? A real life looking Dolphin wearing a helmet as the symbol of your team? Who was smoking crack when they came up with that design?

Notice how everyone laughs everytime a team wears their retro uni's like the Broncos, Steelers and Packers? Thats us, except we are still wearing them.

FYI the year "73" is when I was born. Born in Ft Lauderdale to parents who are Dolphin fans and grandparents who were Dolphin fans. Again don't ever question my loyalty to this team!!! We suck and have sucked since Shula and Marino left. That's a fact!! Now again I know the truth hurts but for now it is what it is so sit back and deal with.

I don't agree with this.

To use your three examples, the Steelers retro looks like zebra pajamas.  Who wouldn't laugh?  But the actual Steelers uniforms they wear now are the same ones from the 70s and the Iron Curtain.  The 80s/90s Denver Broncos helmet with the big D and the horse was no laughing matter when Steve Atwater was separating your hair follicles from your head with a shoulderpad strike, or Karl Mecklenburg sacking you or John Elway scoring points on you.  The Packers for all intents and purposes look pretty much the same as Vince Lombardi and Ray Nitschke's and Jim Taylor's days.

Bottom line, the players inside the uniforms dictate how that uniform is seen.

Its been 40 years since the Phins won the Superbowl. 40 years of different players in the same uniform. I agree that players play and coaches coach and thats the biggest factor, but I would not be heartbroken AT ALL if the Phins changed the scenary.

for example, what would be so wrong with going with a more natural blue color instead of Aqua? The Dolphins brand right now is not very good. It doesn't look good, it doesn't sound good and it doesn't play good.

You and I are basically having the discussion a board room has when they consider a logo/uniform change.  It's a very big decision and that gets argued out for quite a while before a decision is made one way or another.  It can either take a team to the promised land, or completely devestate their historic and iconic value and send them into the abyss.

I debated the examples you originally gave to show when change would hurt.  Changing the Steelers or the Packers would be lunacy.  Now while the old Broncos uniforms made no difference with how good and physical the players were inside them and made appearances in Super Bowls, only after they made that logo uniform change did they actually win a Super Bowl.  I'll argue your side a bit more, same goes for the Bucs and same goes for the Patriots.  The change was good for them.

But if you think about it - Denver, Tampa, nor New England had never WON a championship in those previous uniforms.  Two of them made appearances in Super Bowls, but never won it.  And so I think that is what comes into play with this decision.  I think if you win championships in your current uniform, then change becomes less likely.  Because now you have a legacy, you have a place in NFL history.  It's now become part of the DNA.  Pittsburgh, Miami, Green Bay, have won multiple championships in those logos/uniforms.

I think that plays a big role when debating such a decision.

The Steelers, Pack, Pats, Denver all have traditional color schemes. The Bucs were the last team to make a change from the grotesque colors they had from the retro 60-70's. Aqua, Teal, Tangerine, are not primary colors. The Pack - green, Steelers - black, Pats - Red and Blue.

Pitt, GB have won champonships recently. Miami's was 40 years ago.

also, a life like looking Dolphin with a helmet on is not only wierd is kinda hippie. you have to admit that Miami's logo is the only one in all of major sports that is cartoonish.

If Miami was winning I'd concede. If Miami had won the SB in the last 20 years I'd concede. if Miami didn't have the most ridiculous colors and most ridiculous logo in all of sports I would concede.

Lets do a little at a time. how bout change Agua into a more traditional dark blue.

also, if any doesn't think how these players look on sunday's matters to them then you are wrong. the dreads coming out of the helmets, the tatoos, the unique cleats, this stuff matters.
