I saw that as well out on twitter. Someone on Coach Stoops staff knows how to market UK. Been saying for years UK needed a public relations type on the UK football staff. Someone gets it at last. Wonder who that is, cause it wasn't Joker that was for sure!

I guess im a little late in watching this video but it really got me excited about the direction our program is headed. Im so glad they are actively marketing the program to fans and recruits. These things will pay dividends for us in the future.

Im happier than Eddie Money working in a travel agency. "i've got, 2 tickets to paradise". :)

Cannot wait to go to the spring game.

Haynes and the list of likely prospects is dwindling.

Perhaps by Wednesday noon
Hatcher
Timmons
Corey Smith

I would take that all day long. This would end up being a very solid class.

They won't go away - UK football fans have Jan Brady syndrome - they're excruciatingly jealous of us.

Me too. Here's a little story about Craig Steltz, that Dicky de-cleated. We tailgate in the Green lot, on the grassy knoll, and Dicky Sr, and his wife, and mother (Dicky Jr's grandmother), would come by and tailgate with us before the games sometimes, and always afterward. Dicky would come by after the games and hang out a little bit, and he and Moncel Allen would come by every now and then with him.

Anyway, after that LSU game, someone asked Dicky about that hit, and he said he and Steltz were HS teammates, and he just thought he'd run by and say 'hello". The funniest thing I ever heard in my life. Loved that hit, and love Dicky Lyons, Jr. He's a heck of a guy. My son, who was about 10 at the time loved having those guys come buy and hang out too, they were always real cool with him, and he thought he was the bees knees when they would come by.

RE: Think the Atmosphere around UK Football is changing?

Not a knock on the guys we have on the team but we had some holes to fill this mainly in Defense. In past years we had this same problem and more often than not we got a little too far down the priority list before we landed someone. This Staff identified the holes and went out and got guys at those spots that should be able to help right away. That just hasn't been the case very much with UK and it feels great.

Re: Think the Atmosphere around UK Football is changing?

The atmosphere on here is certainly good to see. This program has juice right now. Recruits have it, fans have it, media outlets are starting to notice, the administrative sector sees the potential and has sprung for whatever the staff needs and has put out a superbowl ad, the new coach has a big recruiting cred that he will only build on, has a plan and is executing it and is on the cusp of signing a class that fills most all his needs. He's also recruited preferred walk-ons for this year and is on the trail of 2014 already (hell, he's been on the job just two months). This just reeks of an intense well-organized individual who has come to a place that can allow him to reach his potential too. I sincerely hope the existing team catches the same passion to win--we often forget about them on this day.

I have opened another window with the sound up so I can catch UK's NSD blog and list. They have the three enrollees on the list up and we're waiting.....
