Big Ben Bradley?

Big Ben Bradley?

Anybody hear anything on how his visit this weekend went? Probably at Auburn right now. Those down there seem to think he'll go to Aubie

RE: Big Ben Bradley?

Gonna be tough. Much better to have recruits on campus when class is in session, but for most Jucos this time of year, that is not possible. We want him! We have room and a DEFENSIVE minded HC. He could lead this new era. But, I think Auburn is the leader.

I agree it will be tough for us to beat Auburn. But we do have few things to offer that Auburn can't and one is guaranteed playing time, which is crucial for a JUCO. The fact that we are even in the mix and recieved one of his final visits is a testament to the job this staff is doing on the recruiting trail. Our 2014 class should be our best ever!

Playing time should be crucial. Looking at Myron Pryor, D. Robertson and Corey Peters , he should see that UK can get him to the NFL. He would be immediately in the rotation, if not starting, this year, and then a guaranteed starter his senior year, playing for a staff that develops talent and has a history of putting people in the pros. Hope THAT is how he sees it.

Re: Big Ben Bradley?

Why do you all think Auburn leads? Are there Auburn fans saying he is going to commit so everyone up here thinks that is the gospel? Please show some evidence he is leaning that way..Thanks

I talked to him personally this morning, no really, there apparently is tweeting coming from Auburn websites indicataing he will be going to Auburn, much like the buzz generated before Jaleel committed to us

RE: Big Ben Bradley?

Just listening to what others say about the proximity to his home. Seems to make sense. Also, Auburn being his last stop gives them AN edge, i suspect, unless UK so wowed him. If that was the case, then why make the trip?

If you have evidence to the contrary, I would love to know. I want him on our line next year.

Re: Big Ben Bradley?

According to his own tweets, Bradley showed up late for his visit here and was not on campus very long at all. He tweeted that he was on his way to UK at around 9:00pm on Friday night, and was confirmed to be at Auburn yesterday afternoon/evening. Unless the staff met him in the middle of the night, it sounds like he had a very shortened early-morning visit, which I don't think bodes well for us. Honestly it sounds to me like he had already ruled us out but honored his commitment to come to campus.

Regardless, we'll all find out tomorrow.

don, whether we like it or not aubarn has football tradition, that overall is tough to overcome,  think Kentucky basketball.   Even though we both had a terrible season last year,  aubarn can push that they were NC just a few years ago so STOOPS has his hands full.  I can't wait until we can say that about our own program,  tradition wise.

RE: Big Ben Bradley?

On the aubarn board, they are discussing him being there this morning so I don't know when he arrived but he is leaving at 6pm. But their fans were discussing that they wished they had a 4-3 instead of the 3-4, so that they could accomodate more big nasties, could this be a plus for us? Also on the same thread they mentioned that Nebraska was the team to beat out for him so who knows. :(

Auburn already has some huge D Line recruits coming in maybe lack of playing time there will help him decide to lean toward us

Interesting tweet from a Nebraska coach about Bradley's visit to Auburn.

@mikejschaefer says Ben Bradley situation is a total mess. Mom doesn't want him at NU instead closer to home and has trouble with grades.

I can understand momma wanting her baby to be closer to home. The grades comment concerns me though.

How does a 2 year Juco player have grade issues?

Have to get it done in Jr College too. The fact that he is looking to announce tomorrow and enroll belies a problem with grades.

We all know Sandy Bell wouldn't allow a guy to enroll if he wasn't up to snuff

That comment came from a NU coach,  not mine.  We can either take it or leave it.

How can an NU coach comment about a recruit?

Re: Big Ben Bradley?

He said he wants to sign the LOI asap so he can get to school. Aubrun's spring semester starts Wednesday.. Seems a bit late to sign with them then right? What do you guys think?

Can't believe that Nebraska coach's would comment on a recruit. NCAA violation=severe.

From what I've seen, he's Auburn's to lose unless he wakes up and see's his heart is in another place. His CC coach is here and may be on the phone with him tonight. shrug.gif

RE: Big Ben Bradley?

I think you might have something slightly confused. Coach Brumbaugh is from east mississippi cc, where ZaDarious Smith, Lauren Jackson, and Jarran Reed all played for him on his D-line. Ben Bradley and Toby Johnson are two outstanding JUCO D-line recruits as well but they come from hutchinson cc in kansas. We don't have a coach on staff from hutch.

Sports Radio is saying he wants UK, but only if he can enroll today. I would think that Sandy Bell would be scrambling for Stoops to get that done, if at all possible.

Thomas Beisner Tweet

RT @Cassidy_Rob: DT-star Ben Bradley said he will commit today. His head coach says that's not true and he will decide "later this week."

Robert Cassidy @ Cassidy_Rob

Hutch LB Antonio Longino just told me on record that teammate Ben Bradley has committed to Auburn. Have not confirmed. Just passing along.

I have been on Ben Bradley's twitter profile all day and have not seen a single thing from him today.
