Notre Dame to join ACC in all sports except football 

Thoughts?

All of Notre Dame's athletic programs will join the ACC by 2014, except for football and the ACC does not offer hockey, so it is presumed that Notre Dame will join Hockey East in that sport.

I imagine it's only a matter of time before ND joins the ACC as a football school too.

Notre Dame football hasn't been releveant for a long time but I think there is too much money on the table for them to ever join a conference in football; this year their schedule is actually pretty good and so far they are off to a good start; only time will tell about this year as well

Yea. I think they have around 3 years left on their huge tv $$contract. Then the a.d. Said they will join in football as well
