UK in the lead for Randle??
Dave Telep recently interviewed Randle and he had some encouraging answers for the BBN. When asked what major factor will play in his decision he said that he wants to compete for a championship, which we will likely be the favorite next year. Randle also said the high school player he would like to play with the most would be Andrew Harrison. Sounds like we are out front to me, but im sure UT and KU could still play a factor in his recruitment.
I thought he was a longshot, but it looks like we have a good chance to get him

Thats great that he dropped texas. PF is really the only need that we havent filled already. With Randle it could be one special season with veteran experience and unreal talent. It will be fun to watch

RE: UK in the lead for Randle??
I saw the video, he really wants to win the national championship and you could tell by his struggling answer that he hated to show his hand when he declared that as a PG, Andrew Harrison would be someone he would love to play with.

Re: UK in the lead for Randle??
Did he really drop TX? Would be a good decision if he did but I'm not fully buying the championship angle. All the kids every year want to win a title but we all know they don't pick the school that gives them the best chance to do that. Having Baylor and TX on the lost(from what I've seen as recent as this week is TX is still on the list) makes no sense if winning a title is most important.
As far as the best choices, he can go wrong in these two line ups
UK An.Harrison AA. Harrison J. Young J. Randle WCS
FL K. Hill M. Rosario J. Randle C. Walker P. young

Re: UK in the lead for Randle??
Randle did not say it directly but he said that he loved fan support and that he wanted to go where he might win the championship. I see that only UK and KU fit that bill. Maybe Florida but no real fan support

Re: UK in the lead for Randle??
Mike Rosario is a Sr and won't be back at UF next year. I don't think UK leads for Randle but its too early to count the Cats out. I could see Randle ending up at UK or UF with NC State being a dark horse. At some point you have to consider team chemistry and realize that if their are 6-7 guys who all want to be one and done on your roster, it might not be the best thing for the success of the team. I'm sure Cal would think that having 7 players picked in one draft was the highlight of his life, but if it comes at the expense of the teams success, meaning no final 4 or titles, then is it really worth it? I say UK should peruse Wiggens alone at this point, because he is too good to pass up, and stop at that.

History has shown players say they want to go to where they have the best chance to win a title but their college choice says other wise. Bazz Anderson Shaq Durant Eric Gordan And many more. Florida is averaging less than 5k people at home games. How can anyone take them serious with no fan base. Even tho they are a top 10 team

NC State is still very much in the picture with Randle. Many of the "experts" opinion's I've read seem to think he'll end up at either UF or UT though. Pretty much none of them think he's headed to UK.

It will be all about the make up of the players, if CAL can get all to listen and sacrifice for the good of the team, they could be special. But if it would be similar to this year, it could also be a grind. But I think you take the top players if they want to come, that is a no brainer.

Re: UK in the lead for Randle??
Clearly UK has a chance with Randle since he is still listing the Cats, anyone who says there is no chance at this point is . We will see what happens but I don't think there is a clear cut leader for Mr. Randle at this point and wouldn't be shocked to see him at any of his schools listed next season. To the poster who said NCST has no chance, you're very wrong, he just set up an official visit to their campus for January. Why would he do that if he weren't interested? They have a nice class coming in and will have some great returning talent as well, maybe he wants to play there???

Bleeeed you're very wrong. I'm not going to say he ends up at nc state, but he's definitely interested. He has a visit scheduled, and the people scout pays to give/get information seem to think he is too.

Re: UK in the lead for Randle??
I wouldn't be so sure. Why would he bother with the visit if he really didn't think he MAY go there? They have a nice class coming in anyway and will have some good returning players to complement him and are also losing their best big in Howell after this season and probably Leslie as well. Cat Barber, BeeJay Anya, Kyle Washington, TJ Warren, Rodney Purvis, with Randle would be a hell of a team. If CJ Leslie or Lorenzo Brown come back they would be top 10 next year. Just saying it could happen and I haven't seen anything to indicate he favors UK at all. I'd love for him to come to UK and if Wiggens comes as well that would be by far the best incoming class of players ever at one school, no question, which should be a great reason to come, but I've said before on here that not every player wants to be another horse in the stable, some guys want to be the man which is what he'd be at NCST. We will see, but don't act like it won't happen because you have no idea bro.

Re: UK in the lead for Randle??
Funk why dont you go back to wherever you came from but before you go,retreat several months and read the articles on Randle and his in home visits and the many interviews he has done since mid summer..Then maybe you can let it soak into your thick skull that nowhere in that montage of articles or radio interviews did he ever say that he was leaning somewhere other than Ky..He might not have said he was leaning to Ky directly but writers and recruiting people said he was...Look at his comments the other day..Said he wanted to play for a national championship and the person he would really like to play with was one of the Harrison twins..........You do the math genius.........How about them periods? You seem to be on a rather long one......Go away please.................

Re: UK in the lead for Randle??
I've also read that UF and UT are as in the lead for Randle as UK and FSU is for Wiggins. N.C state is also in a very good position. i seem to have been wrong about Randle not caring about being the man on a good team because it seems to be the case. He can't go wrong with any of the team on his list (except TEX imo) because with him florida is a top 5 team and State is a top 5 team with him, Warren, and Purvis.
But like everyone else on here i have no inside information just what i have read from recruiting sites who have said those two seem to be in the lead. This kid seems to be like Parker in that he is keeping everything very close so no one has a real clue as far as where he is leaning towards

And knowing that they’re the leaders in championships with 11 and with Kyle Anderson is a great addition to that program and Jordan Adams. And hopefully if Tony Parker will come, then there’s a lot of bits and pieces to that team will make it a really great team in the future.”
Asked for a message to UCLA fans, Muhammad said: “Everyone in Westwood, L.A., California, get reay for a really good season, a really exciting season, and hopefully we can sell out Pauley.”
Anderson:
“I’m just so happy to have him for next season and I think we can do some big things at UCLA,” Anderson, who won 65 straight games over two years at St. Anthony, said on ESPNU. Anderson added: “I knew we could be able to turn UCLA’s program around here. We had a tough year the last year but we’re ready to get back to work and turn it around.”
Durant:
Durant appears to be excited about the opportunity to play at Texas. He has said he hopes to win a national title for the Longhorns and hopes to convince fellow blue chippers Darrell Arthur and D.J. Augustin to join him.

And, Gordon:That’s where E.J. comes from in life, but the attention, now, is all about where he’s going. He says his goals are to win the Big Ten, and hopefully win an NCAA championship. On a personal level, E.J. would like the chance to be National Freshman of the Year and maybe even a candidate for National Player of the Year. E.J. stipulates all of these with “hopefully,” but his father is quick to remove any doubt about IU’s prospects for next season – on the lone condition that junior forward D.J White returns for his senior season. “I see no reason IU wouldn’t be a top-five team preseason and they would compete for a national championship,” he says. “There is just no way in my mind that I can see anything different.” http://www.idsnews.com/news/Ne...t.aspx?id=69441

Re: UK in the lead for Randle??
How many players ever tell reporters the truth? Durant also said he was going to stay more than a year as well as a good amount of other one and dones. And for players who have gone to school for extra benifits, have you ever heard a player say " yep i picked so and so school because they gave me a little sumtin sumtin". Anytime a reporter ask a player something they always give the best answer that people either want to hear or politically correct. Players also don't say " im going here because i will be a star here and the offense will run through me" or " the coach will let me do whatever i want". When have you ever heard someone say " the kid doesn't appear to be excited about playing for this or that school" PadsFS wrote:
