3 year old asked to leave KFC after severe dog attack

BC her injuries were upsetting other customers. The stupidity of the staff has attracted national attention. Could you imagine walking up to their table and asking them to leave?

I saw this last week and felt physically ill for the girl. So I donated money to her fund and left KFC and Yum! Brands a ripe nasty twitter remark (Was soon after blocked)....and I usually don't get caught up in this kind of BS but you don't **** with little girls that have been mauled and get away with it

If they starting booting all people who looked scary from KFC's they'd be empty.

It's like the Wal Mart of fast food.

Wow, if it was indeed a hoax, it will still be hard for KFC to recover from the bad publicity.  And I wonder if the fact it was a hoax will be equally publicized.

And, think of the little girl...once again a victim of the stupidity of her own family.

Well damn. When I saw that KFC apologized and donated money I thought it was legit. Well I am still happy to donate to her fund and berate KFC.

Heard on the news just now that the whole thing is a hoax.

Woman’s claim KFC kicked out 3-year-old disfigured granddaughter a hoax: report

Kelly Mullins said an employee at a Jackson, Miss., KFC discriminated against little Victoria Wilcher, who was mauled by pit bulls, because her 'face is disrupting customers.' But a third party investigation has reportedly uncovered that the family never visited the store May 15, meaning the story was a hoax. The lie led to $135,000 in donations for the injured girl, and free surgeries from a Las Vegas surgeon.

It’s a finger-lickin’ fraud.

A Mississippi woman’s story of her disfigured 3-year-old granddaughter being discriminated against and kicked out of a Jackson KFC in May was made up, an investigation has found, the Laurel Leader-Call reported.

Kelly Mullins has raised more than $135,000, received free surgeries for her granddaughter and drawn $30,000 from KFC itself after claiming an employee at the fast-food joint ordered little Victoria Wilcher out because of her severe scarring.

“They just told us, they said, ‘We have to ask you to leave because her face is disrupting our customers,’” Mullins told WAPT-TV of the alleged May 15 incident. "(Victoria) just cried the whole way home ... She won't look in the mirror."

In fact, the woman and the little girl did not even visit that location, or another Jackson location, a review of surveillance tape found.

Mullins told WAPT on June 12 that she and the girl visited the store after a doctor’s appointment at a nearby KFC, where the grandmother “ordered a sweet tea and mashed potatoes and gravy.”

But a review of transactions on May 15 at both Jackson locations found those items weren’t included in the same order at any point. And no one matching the description of Mullins or little Victoria visited either restaurant, the Leader-Call reported.

Has anyone thought that maybe this is a hoax?

Can't be.  If it were a hoax there would be newspaper articles about the investigation.

And, somebody would probably print a link on here.  Or, even a whole article.

You are probably right. Then we would probably be making sarcastic remarks because someone would probably miss the fact that such links had already been posted and post any hypothetical links again, even going through the trouble of editing it without even reading the thread.

So, serious question.  If we show this was a lie, what happens?  The family keeps all the money and the free surgeries?  KFC gets a retraction from the news?

You may remember seeing pictures of Victoria Wilcher, the 3-year-old attacked by her family’s three pit bulls who was supposedly asked on May 15 to leave a KFC in Jackson, Miss., because her facial scars were too disturbing. The Internet loved the story of a disfigured little girl bullied by a multinational food conglomerate. But the  Laurel Leader-Call  in Mississippi is calling it a fundraising hoax — specifically, a “Kentucky Fried Hoax.” Several anonymous sources told the paper’s Sean Murphy that the story told by the girl’s grandmother to  a local TV station  about the incident doesn’t match the facts.

I don't know.  Win for the girl.  But KFC never gets back what they lost in publicity, and the 30K they ponied up.  the family gets away with lying to trick people out of their donated money....

But the girl gets help....  that's the only good news out of this whole thing, IMO.

Free publicity is free publicity(well 30,000 isn't free) but they basically have run a national campaign for only 30,000. That's all if the media(especially social media where I've seen it) says it was a hoax.
