However, this car as some issues as to "total" authenticity. This is NOT the 1st time this L88 has been on the auction block and didn't sell.There are a whole lot of "Clones" floating around. As a 'Vette owner since 1974 and currently owner of a C3, I would be very leary of this car. If this car was 100% the "real deal" and one of 20, no way would Dana Mecum have access to this very RARE Corvette. It would not be auctioned, but sold private collector to private collector.A FULLY documented '67 L88 (1 of 20) would sell for over $1,000,000 USD without an auction and seller/buyers fees.WTPS. It was reported that Mecum sold 1 of 20 L88s last year for $612,000 but I think the sell was negated and/or lawsuits are in play.
