Sounds like it may have been an accident.

When I first moved to Columbia my girlfriend-- same girlfriend from the Applebee's story came down from Charlotte to surprise me ( or maybe try to catch me cheating). I was living in a chitty apartment complex at the time. Anyways she showed up around 2 am and let herself in-- I was about to shoot her through the bedroom door- when she called my name.

What if it was with a full auto?

What if it was?  No penalty?  Accidents happen?

Just saying 4 accidental shots are reasonable with a full auto. If it truly was an accident I think the loss and guilt is punishment enough.

If his bail ends up costing an arm and a leg he will never get out.

Have you been to South Africa?  You better have a full auto in the house and he did.

How many times would you shoot a intruder?  Once and then ask if they're OK?  lol

So, shoot first, ask questions later?  Got it.

How about, identify yourself, or I pump you so full of lead you'll be using your tits as pencils.

Re: Blade runner from Olympics charged with shooting GF

I'm actually not that surprised at four shots.  I would expect a person, an untrained civilian, to do something like that, even without full auto.

IF, and it's a big if, it's a high stress situation where he thinks there are intruders, etc.

But that article makes it sound like these two had ongoing issues...

Re: Blade runner from Olympics charged with shooting GF

Years ago before We had kids my wifes brother was staying the weekend with us. One night he came in late about 2am. My wife and I had fallen asleep on the couches in the living room. We had given him a key because we knew he was coming back late. when he started opening the lock I must have heard and jumped up still asleep. He said no sooner than the door was cracked enough for my fist to fit through I had thrown a punch at his head. he stepped back and jumped off the porch. I wok up to him and my wife yelling at me. Good thing I didn't have my gun on me.

So no, don't shoot first. but people can make mistakes.

If I decide to ever pull the trigger, I'm going to keep on pulling it until I'm sure the intruder is down.
