exactly. and then i heard on the car radio this morning that assclown say his proposals will not add to the deficit.

Without having watched I think I can sum up.

- We need more spending (probably said the word stimulus) to get us out of Bush's recession.
- We need to legalize 10 million Democratic voters
- Guns are bad
- Global warming will kill us all any minute unless we raise taxes
- We need to spend more

Basically that's it.  He was also into providing pre-school for all children to get them started earlier.   Talked about the USA no longer nation building.  Talked about infrastructure needing to be improved and how it would bring more foreign investment if we do.  Talked about a free trade agreement with Europe.  Supposedly he won't be able to do much if any of what he stated due to the lack of funds.  He didn't say that, but pindits after the speech said that's the prob he will face.  Boener never clapped nor stood until the very end.  He looked pissed.

My wife and I started watching The Walking Dead on netflix Monday night. Got two episodes down Monday and one last night. I would rather watch zombies than that dumb azz.

It was everything you would have expected from both sides.  It was all extremely partisan.  I was surprised after though listening to Rubio's speech. Pretty weak.

Rubio looked like he was in an infomercial. My wife and I laughed about that for a minute then changed the channel. was fortunate enough not to be flipping through and accidentally land on the SOTU.

Yeah I agree.  I was with 2 senior citizen relatives who wouldn't dare miss it.  We went to eat downtown Charleston and they were stressing the entire meal that we would miss the speech.  It's more important to an older generation apparently.  After the SOTU was over they debated the issues for another hour.  I sisn't mind it once I started watching, but there would have been no chance of me tuning in on my own at this stage.
