I knocked over a bank yesterday
So I went to the doc yesterday with severe abdominal pain. They send me to an imaging place. After four hours of drinking radioactive smoothies and CT Scans, they determine I have acute appendicitis and I need to go to the hospital ASAP.
So I get in my Tundra, and head towards the hospital. About 3 minutes later I pass out at the wheel. My foot must have pressed into the gas pedal. I blew though an intersection, up a hill and tag a 12" tree. But that doesn't stop my truck. It plows on 50 more feet dragging my front left wheel cause it broke off with the tree impact, goes over a curb,
down a curb, over another curb, and into the BB&T...about 6 feet from their gas line.
When I came to the cab was full of smoke. Had no idea where I was. Couldn't open the front door. Had to crawl out the window, pushing the air bags aside, with acute appendicitis....a dude that worked at the bank came running out wanting to fight me. Thought I was drunk.
Eventually made it to the hospital after I convinced the police I was not drunk and had an emergency appendectomy at 9 pm last night.

Had not yet ruptured but I was told it was extraordinarily inflamed and was going to go at any second.
Obviously I was not supposed to drive but the nurse discharged me anyways. If I had not passed out when I did, in one more minute, I would have been on the interstate.

I hate to say it but you should sue the sh!t out of the doctor's office that released you and let you drive yourself. They very well could have killed you. Glad you are alive.

For the first time in my life, I am pretty sure I am.
My truck is totaled. The back seat actually dislodged from the impact. Since it is a relatively new truck, I'll get screwed. Plus, I am sure the bank with sue me for damages.
Thank God it wasn't a busy time at the bank. I easily could have killed someone.

Puss! Just last month my wife drove herself to the hospital with a ruptured appendix. She didn't pass out. As a matter of fact, she is still pissed at me because she woke me up at 3 that morning and when she told me she was going to take herself to the hospital, I rolled over and told her to call me if she needed anything. Got another 2 hours of sleep before she called and said she was going into surgery.

The tree held up ok.
I know Rocker. I use ******* as a term of endearment around here. Not only did they "let" me leave, they basically convinced me to leave. "Get to the hospital right now" they said, as I stood in the waiting room.
