It's like clemson owe's Ole Miss something, Ole Miss has something on Clemson, Clemson can't compete with them for some underlying reason

so what the hell is it,, after today the Clemson fans want to know what the story is on this

I listened online for the first time today and the big joke was about the amount of dollars flowing around the campus of Ole Miss. Mentioned something pertaining to the state of Miss is already doing an investigation of their so called dream team. Who knows if it's legit or if they are just clowning. I don't know the show that well.

Just like when Dabo said we were done recruiting $cam Newton all of the sudden. We don't pay for players, so there is no use going up against Ole Piss and Auburn.

Well, I'm I'm no expert on Ole Miss but I did spend almost three years down there in Columbus when I was in service. But, someone needs to get on here and tell us what's so appealing about Ole Miss for them to get a top five class. Do they have a 80,000 seat stadium? Do they have a rich history of being a football powerhouse/conference champion/pro players/ETC.? I think they have some great tailgating and all but gee a lot of schools have that so I'm kinda perplexed myself on why they had such a great year in recruiting especially when you think of all the great schools across the country that Ole Miss could get a class like this. If you were a player and wanted to play in the SEC seems Ole Miss would be pretty low on your list of schools to play for.

I expect to see some rumblings about money from them and maybe an investigation. A lot of good that will do other teams who could have benefitted if things are were done the legal way.

Re: Philpot, how about now coming out on why Clemson will not

Just my own theory, no fact, just opinion. I think Ole Miss is looking at Auburn, who has had a pay for play system in place for a very long time, with very few negative consequences. It is run by a small group of big money boosters, which results in very little exposure, unless the kid getting the cash speaks out. Ole Miss finally decided, if they can do it, we can too. It looks like they were very selective and landed some big fish. Miss St has also gotten more aggressive lately. Something to watch going forward. SEC west is pretty dirty.

well Philpot acts like he really knows something, spreads that type of news on his show, then he finally needs to come out with what he knows or thinks he knows and gets his radio fans, clemson fans, all in on the news.

we all expect Ole Miss and Auburn are paying players, I think USC is as well, so if the NCAA really wants to be a governing body they need to clean up the SEC and put some MAJOR penalties on all those schools like they did USC the real one

I wish he would put out what he knows too but don't expect him to. If it is something like paying for players, that's some big allegations to make. It's a little different for us average Joes to make that remark than it is for a radio personality to unless they are the shock jock type.

Fans always accuse other schools of playing players.

That's as as old as college football itself.

It's not just the SEC West. The entire country for the most part is dirty how they handle athletes. Just look at our own conference in UNC and Miami recently.

The problem is the NCAA. Yes, they won't catch everyone, but their rules (over-signing, etc.) and punishments are loose. The NCAA is so pathetic they are actually now investigating themselves.

Freeze can tweet whatever he wants. There's no way in hell Ole Miss didn't cheat its a$$ off in recruiting this year.

Getting Nkemdiche def helped other big recruits want to go to Ole' Miss and that's because his mother forced him to go there. However, does Hugh Freeze not just look sleezy? We know Auburn has been guilty for a long time, but it is possible that Nkemdiche helped lure all of the other kids much like Roscoe Crosby lured us a lot of good kids when we weren't very good. Hugh Freeze just comes off as an evil little man to me. Auburn and Ole' Miss prob feel they have to cheat because no one is ever going to choose them in a fair fight over Bama or LSU.

I disagree on USC.....I'd expect them to have a MUCH better class if they were cheating.

yeah I agree, USC's class isn't really that good. who did they pay? Larenz Bryant? Kelsey Griffin?

Now did they pay Latt and Clowney? who knows...

But its clear schools like Ole Miss and Auburn are really going above and beyond to shell out the $

Guys, Scar just "escaped" the ax of the NCAA with the Whineygate scandal.  They are on probation, remember?  Should they get caught paying players, they would get HAMMERED!  My guess is that they are playing it straight right now.

Re: Philpot, how about now coming out on why Clemson will not

Clemson recruiting started with Dabo. He got Spiller and Spiller led the way for the rest. Players feel at home and feel like they have someone to take care of them in Dabo. Dabo came from nothing like many of them and just like Mackensie Alexander said, Dabo Swinney came from what he came from and he just trusts him the most. Dabo is passionate about his players and will run through walls to protect them, much like Gundy. That is why Clemson gets 5 star players.

These farts really do underestimate Dabo Swinney's value as a coach and person.  Do you think they are really so stupid as to believe that he will not overcome the advantage Scar has over us for the moment.  J Clowney has one more year. That's all coots. What do you do after that?

Can't really blame them for playing players...paying them, now that's another story.

Sorry dude.
