The BCS and a Playoff
I have read that the BCS may be changing to some sort of playoff. I have read it will be a 4 team playoff is that right ? I would think if it does become a 4 team playoff 2 conferences will lose AQ status. I also have read that both Boise and San Diego have some sort of an out clause where if they decide not to join the Big East they don't have to pay the 5 million exit fee. I have also read that they will still have to pay the exit fee if they decide not to join. Can someone tell my the correct answers to my questions?

Re: The BCS and a Playoff
A 4-team playoff is expected, format yet to be decided. As part of that, there will be no more automatic bids, for any conference, but the big conferences will still share most the the money. BSU and SDSU have $1MM out-clauses, such as if the Big east lost AQ status but everyone else kept it, or if 25% (I think) or more of the new league were to leave.

RE: The BCS and a Playoff
This playoff (plus the WAC dying as an FBS conference) will kill off a few bowl games.
Let's hope it's not any of our bowls.
Although we probably won't need anymore than 4 tie-in's.

RE: The BCS and a Playoff
The playoff looks more desperate than anything, without actually giving up anything.. Anybody know the ratings of the last BCS "Championship" game? Who played in that game anyway?

RE: The BCS and a Playoff
I try not to watch games I have money on.
But these days at least 75% of my bets are on soccer.
