MWC and CUSA to merge all sports... 

Hair Thompson will be the commish of the super conference

No reason to merge all sports unless it's going to garner a good contract for the teams or get us out of our current contract.

Until then, I'm more of a football only advocate.

This new conference will now have only one NCAA autobid for conference champions (i.e. men's/women's basketball, volleyball, soccer, baseball,etc.) versus having two autobids if the conferences remained apart for the non-football sports.  With up to 18 schools in a merged conference, this doesn't seem smart to me.

That was my thought too.
Although if it is a strong basketball conference with multiple selections anyway.....it wont matter that much....
