I see what you're saying, Doppel, but I'm not sure it's always true.
I used to think of Nebraska as a rival even though they hardly ever beat Texas and I'm sure K State fans feel the same about Texas.

honestly, I'm just really surprised that Mack and Deloss would agree to playing us that time of year
there is a big difference between playing mid November and Dec 1st.
especially at night
I think it puts Texas at a pretty sizeable disadvantage
fwiw... 20 years from now I'll be shocked if the kitties still lead the series
but I aint gunna lie, it is fun while it is lasting

oh i aint talking about the crowd or atmosphere
mid nov = 40's or so
Dec 1st you are talking 20's or worse
I went to both those B12 Championship games in the first week in Dec at night and it was frightfully cold both times
I wanna say the 2003 games was like 6 degrees in the 4th quarter

I don't believe in cold weather.
What I mean to say is I acknowledge its existence, but I don't endorse it. I don't think humans should live where it gets that cold. It seems unnatural like an abomination or something.

i used to think that too
but now i see it as a clensing of the soul and something that imporves the quality of life
it is like bad songs on the radio,
if all the songs were always good, then you wouldn't get excited when a good one came on, because thay are always good all the time
i guess that was a dopey way of saying cold days just make you appreaciate the warm ones more
well anyways, Mack and the boys are gunna aprrecaite the hell outta gettin back to Austin on Dec 1st

I thought we told you about shaggybevo a long time ago? It's 95% juvenile a-holes bitching and desperately trying to out-cool each other, but the other 5% is typically well worth the read.
And Slick is right, it doesn't matter when or where we play the Ats, we're going to lose regardless, so the timing is irrelevant.

I love the shag, but mostly stick to Nasty's where the "Shag elite" hang out and talk about everything except sports.

I spend most of my time on GM, that's really the main reason I moved from Hornfans to the shag, that's where all the good BBQ talk went. The other reason I began frequenting the shag is, of course, Thujone. Overall, Hornfans had plenty of problems, but was a far more "grown-up" board than the juvenile chaos that is the Shag. I'm pretty well convinced that only about ten people on that board are over the age of 16, and three of those are you, me, and Scott.  Still, like I said, the other 5% of the content is well worth the read. |

Every Horn board has its own personality. What I do like is that all of the boards seem to be of the same opinion that when it comes to K-State we're doomed.
I don't like the fact that we're doomed, but I love the fact that Horn fans are generally big enough to admit it.
That was the exasperating thing about the Huskers. No matter how many time and in how many different ways Texas beat Nebraska, it still seemed like the overabundance of Husker fans still made excuses.
I suppose some might applaud that never-say-die attitude.
Just looked like a-holedness to me.
