I drove up to Westwood yesterday to scout out a potential pre-game spot before our 9:00 p.m. game with UCLA on the 16th.

I've come up with the Westwood Brewing Company (1097 Glendon Ave.).  It seems like it will be adequately large enough to support our needs as well as those of their usual UCLA student crowd.  It is an over 21 beer joint with the usual wings, hamburgers, ribs, chicken, etc.

Beers on tap include Newcastle, Boddingtons, Widmer, Fat Tire, and there is Lone Star in the fridge for Doc and I, and Bud Light for those of you who apparently have no sense of taste.

Keep in mind all in StubHub costs. $5 minimum service fee plus $12 flat delivery fee per order. A single  $10 ticket will be all in out of pocket $27.

So StubHub makes most sense if buying 2+ tickets at $10 each. That said, my son bought a block of 4 at $7 per ticket.

Edit:  Just checked and they're now going for as little as $2 each.  Did a quick count, 56 tickets offered on StubHub for this game asking $10 each or less.  So costs are certainly down to where perhaps a block of students can afford to jump into this game and make youngling noise!

I'm skipping a test and driving out for the game with like 2 other guys...we need to get other students out there, but no one will want to drive.

This is a comparative down year for UCLA and we've got got the talent on the floor that with sufficient motivation could make it a real good night to be a Titan. Do you think that with 12 days to work with you can motivate a "big group" to help bring that motivation?   That late at night, traffic to get there isn't that much of an issue.

I'd love to go! And I can afford a $2 ticket. But I can't, in my current situation, afford $23 for a $2 ticket. I guess I'm watching on TV. Go Titans!
