So glad to see the "Streaking Titans" were not arrested for that bit of post-Holiday frivolity.

Line has moved to 3 in favor of CSUN
Appears that money is being placed heavily on CSUN as in some places it started out as a Pickem...
Either Vegas feels the Titans are in for a big letdown, or they think that CSUN was more focused on the Titans on Thursday instead of their weak opponent in UCR, which is what I feel was the case.

Re: CSUN Matadors Game Thread
While I don't think fatigue was a factor last game I think it could be this game. I think this is the time to see if Jordan Knox can play this game. We simply need more than six players.

Re: CSUN Matadors Game Thread
Jet lag could be a big factor in this game, as well as bus lag. Hope our budget can afford six bottles of 5 hour energy drinks.

What a win! I guess that jet lag wasn't so bad after all.

Re: CSUN Matadors Game Thread
Thirty one FT Attempts!
Any good FT shooting teams like the Titans could win a basketball game just because of that. I guess the depth of Northridge has made them more liberal with fouls. From watching the game, it did not seem to be the case.
Once again, a good FT shooting player should try to go to the line more often. That is good basketball IQ.

Re: CSUN Matadors Game Thread
I was not expecting a road win from this trip. Now I feel throwing up just thinking about the Hawaii game.

We should have been 2-0, no question. I feel good that the fire will be in their eyes when UH comes to town. Mark my word, it will be a 20- point win for us. UH was not as talented like CSN iMO.

UH was not as talented like CSN iMO. I respectfully disagree. I thought Hawaii was much more talented as their big men pose huge problems for us (pun intended). That said, this was a good, if not great, win for the Titans. I had never seen CSUN play but they have won quite a few games and we were coming off as tough a loss as you can imagine, traveling from Hawaii with little time to adjust and on the road to boot. CSUN was coming off an unexpected loss to the worst team, by far, in the conference and were seemingly due for a win (and remember, they had an RPI of 55 heading into conference play). I wouldn't say the win was unexpected due to the fact we have some great talent, but it was certainly a relief to see them dominate a game like that and pull off the road win.

Quotes from Game
Yes, our game: "What a game for D.J.," Interim Head Coach Andy Newman said. "I was really worried about D.J. coming into this game because he played 40 minutes against Hawaii and the trip was incredible, I didn't know how he was going to respond. "It a testament to his character and his desire to be really good because he had every excuse to play tired out there... and he came out and performed like I have never seen him play." Link: http://www.fullertontitans.com/sports/m-baskbl/201 2-13/releases/201301068cr6df "Give Fullerton credit," said Braswell. "They are a talented team. They really can handle the ball and they can spread you out. We just couldn't get any resistance defensively." "Stephen (Maxwell) gave a great effort every minute he was on the floor, both offensively and defensively," said Braswell. "We knew we had to take advantage with the size that we had (over CSF). We asked him to get low (in the post) and work, and we did a good job of getting him the ball." "People know who he is and they are going to make things difficult for him," said Braswell. "And I thought he responded well, particularly offensively in the second half." "We did what we needed to do offensively (86 points)," said Braswell. "But we never felt comfortable defensively. They (CSF) attacked the rim and when we collapsed and helped, they were able to hit some big shots (12-for-23 from behind the arc). They are a very talented basketball team. It's difficult to slow them down. We were on our heels defensively the entire night."
"We're a young basketball team and we have enjoyed some success," said Braswell. "People have scouted you. People have watched you and know what you are doing. If you don't show up for conference play, you are going to get beat. In the last couple games, I don't think we have really showed up and played the way we are capable of playing. I don't think we have played Northridge basketball."
