Nice, good hops. Can you get your son to lay off the burgers and get into playing shape? We need him to play smart, and get his points off of put backs. Looks like he was a good high school player, but lots of us were. Lay down the law dad, get him into playing shape - because at this weight he can't be productive. Again, he is not the reason we lose games, but going to him more often will not produce more wins.

Re: Could this be Rufus????

I don't think Deuce is fat really, but he has told me what he is instructed to do in the weight room there. It is more football related then basketball related. I would never let him lift heavy because his genetics would make him blow up like a body builder. He was not this big when he left the house for school. And trust me he eats more at home then on campus. I never said by going to Deuce more will produce more wins but Deuce will not get many put backs if all we shoot are threes. The law of physics are against him. Missed threes are long rebounds and he is under the basket...

Sorry, but Duece looks like no body builder I've seen. He's taking in too many calories.

Because that is what he is... He doesn't know much or any better...Big West Tournament we will have a real good discussion about that...

Because he said he was thick skinned, and he is making statements while looking at stat sheets, while not being at the actual game. I have a hard time trying to figure out why he came to CSUF, if he knew the offense we ran. Like Walls, Trancredi, Montano, Nunez, etc before him; trying to put a round peg into a square hole.

I have been to 3 games, 1 exhibition and 1 srimmage. My wife was at 2 games in Reno. You have been to 3. My wife's analysis is better then yours. That is not saying much by the way. What you are saying about my son and his stats don't match. That is a sign of hate. You sound like a nut job on the Jim Rome show...I hate sports talk..The fans are not really bright and they speak from emotion not what is actually going on in the game. Your style of basketball is not winning games this year. And it has not produced many NCAA tournament teams in the last 9 years. You need to wake up and smell the coffee. Your basketball knowledge is beneath me...

Hate to tell you Rufus but he is at every game and family was in Reno. JJ is very involved in his sons life from what I can tell and I think it's awesome ..

BTW he knows a thing or two about basketball!!!

Hey, don't panic.  I think many are a little too pessimistic here.  With a little smarter and braver play, this team could have been 7-1 at this point.

They had the games in hand against Nevada, E. Washington, Washington and Bake.  As I said, a little smarter and braver would have closed those games out.

If the players and Andy can figure that out, and if Nelson and Horne are added in, I think this team can do well in conference.  They have the potential blow teams off the court.

So please stop complaining about the 3 point shooting.  With Vaughn, Seeley, Yeager and Harris, that is CLEARLY our strength.  All of those guys are stroking it very well so far, except Seeley, who has not been bad overall and may still end up the best.

Re: Could this be Rufus????

I played 4/5 on a "Chili Ball" team.

In Chili Ball, little Mexican kids go as far back as 35' to get an unmolested shot.  Then they all run to get the long carom.

This worked on many taller black/white teams.

CSUF 2012-13 must play Chili Ball.  Deuce won't get many RB's, but the team will overall.

JJ, I don't hate anybody. Like I said, your son is not the answer to our problems. That being said, if he could score 20 points a game, and grab 10 boards a game, he wouldn't be at CSUF. We also don't go to the NCAA tournament, except for every 30 years - so if your son came to Fullerton with that expectation, good luck with that. People around that University are happy with 20 win seasons against weak teams, so again good luck trying to deal that attitude. I am not picking on you or your son, but I really don't understand why you would have brought him to CSUF while knowing the system we run. Please enlighten us, but the fact that you let him come here suggests that your basketball knowledge is far less than you profess it to be.

Deuce came here because it was close to home and has his major. It's about going to college for him. Basketball pays the tuition. It was his choice. He is a grown man who made a grown man choice. Something a blue hair like yourself should appreciate...

You obviously haven't met Mike.  But I'm sure he'd take any color hair at this point in his life as would I. pirate
