More bad news...

More bad news...

I have received an unconfirmed report that John Underwood has chosen to leave the team in order to deal with personal issues.  My source said that he is not expected to return to the team, but will stay in school.

Again, this is an unconfirmed report, but the source is reliable.

We need you now more than ever. You are not done.

We still have a glimmer of hope that our compliance person (again, who is this??) can get those hardship waivers approved but I am beginning to think this is low priority within that department.

I've said it before, At Cal State Fullerton, we strive for competency.

Don't count on it TC. The NCAA hasn't done any favors since it granted Derek Jones a fifth year, and he had to get shot for that to happen.

I agree with you, I am certainly not counting on it. I will be surprised if we even have a decision before our first game.

In all fairness, the decision lies with the NCAA.  Compliance simply helped to complete the petition.

If you remember, John Underwood was granted hardship status just last season.

So, with our tallest player gone, has there been a shorter squad than this years?

Good luck to JU, hope things work out for him. (and thanks for sticking around for the academics...APR)

I too wish JU well. He is a great kid and hope he gets all the support from the fans as well from the school to work out any personal problems going on.

Yeah, Costa, we are thinking of starting you at 5.  It's all in the feet and the azz.  You can do it.

His 1.1ppg and 1.3rpg would have come in real handy... NOT!

Re: More bad news...

He is a big body and we dont have many.... If McClellan is not cleared we are one more injury away from being a mess!!I think we have to play Williams this year and go 4 guards...Move Sammy over to the 4 and rotate Duece and Horne at the 5... Man that is small!!

Yeah, at 5'8" I would really help.
Seriously, have we ever had a shorter squad?

Yes, one of Hawking's years we played in San Diego. Took a picture at the San Diego sports museum of my wife with the team and she was taller than half the squad.

I like that kid. Was looking forward to seeing him progress in the new system.

Dammit all !

That said, good luck to John in life and with his education.
