WW AT #1 SPOT?

WW AT #1 SPOT?

Is it pretty much a done deal Will Walker's gonna handle the point? I keep reading this. We will find out soon. Stoval can't shoot from the outside so teams would double up on WW.

Thats why your gonna have to play kelly and walker at the same time. We have to have another pure shooter on the floor with walker.

Re: WW AT #1 SPOT?

Bottom line is they need to find ways to get more assists out of Walker.

JW told WW that he doesn't need him to score more, but needs more assists out of him.  JW would be pleased if he could get 5 assists per game from WW.

THE man BillyBlueDemon! I was hoping you could provide some insight.

Interesting JW needs more assists from WW. Does that mean WW plays point & JK comes off the bench? We will find out as the season materializes.

YOU ARE AWESOME! JOB WELL DONE AS ALWAYS.

Yes, JW intends to play WW at the one.  You'll see Kelly & Bizoukas backing him up and you'll see Kelly & Stovall splitting time at the two,

Re: WW AT #1 SPOT?

I would assume JK will run point when we want multiple shooters and we'll see Bizoukas on point when we need a stop.

Walker is too valuable to let sit on the bench so he'll probably just shift over to off-the-ball when those guys come in in most cases.

Re: WW AT #1 SPOT?

It's a major problem anytime Walker is at the two. He is to small and couple that with Kelly and/or Biz at the other guard spot and you have a very small, slow, unathletic backcourt.  I know they have what they have for this season and at times you will see a combo of the three playing . That is a problem.

Yea, it was really rough for walker at the 2 last year, how is that J? He is a 2 guard and thats were he should be playing. Bottom line kelly and walker are gonna be on the floor together ALOT.

Maybe thats a big part of the reason Depaul is predicted to be bottom feeders again in the Big East ! It doesn't work and is not a good combination.  How is that Bubba ????

I guess , based on your comments, it wasn't tough for Walker last season? 0-16 do anything for you Bubbs ???

Re: WW AT #1 SPOT?

Here we go........So J, who should play along side walker? Stovall???? Cant shoot and is no threat, they will just double up mac and walker will have to do it all by himself. Anybody that thinks mike stovall is gonna come in and light it up on Offence is crazy. Walker at point and kelly at the 2. The best combo and our best chance to win games.

Since we hear so much about  Stula's shooting ability.... he could get some time at the 2

J, My whole point is we are gonna have to have somebody else on the court that can score/shoot besides mac and walker. My vote goes to kelly......And by the way i would take walker over dar seven days a week and twice on sunday.

Dar was bigger, more athletic, tougher and more skilled then Walker. Look at the stats from last year. Similar shooting %. Walker at 41 % and Dar at 39%. Dar won the free throw battle. Dar won the rebound battle. Assists were even and Dar outscored Walker easily. All of that while be the focus of every opponent while Walker just another player on the scouting report.

Dar, was an overated ball hog that thought of nobody but himself.......Where is dar playing ball at now???? I bet my home walker will playing for coin overseas next year. He works hard and he can flat out shoot. Something dar never did nor ever will be able to do.........Men lie, women lie, but numbers dont. Dar was a total joke of a basketball player last year.........Suck it up J, the kid you love to hate on is one of the best basketball players we got. You can toss those useless tucker numbers at me all day. Good morning IDAHO.

Bubba, pass, pass, puff...and  I don't mean the basketball.  What the hell are you smoking?  You can hate DAR all you want but you will not replace 18pts scorer.  Just like when people said Wilson Chandler,  Burns , and  Sammy Mejia willl not be missed.   Its not about ME ME basketball but its about commanding double team that freed up WW to get his points last season. Now that DAR has left, all eyes will be on Wialker and see how many pts he scores.  I would say less than last season.

Re: WW AT #1 SPOT?

The last thing in this world i am is a hater..Im speaking the truth, without dar last year i think we would of won at least 3 or 4 big east games..........Burns,sammy, and chandler where all better then dar. Its real easy to score 18 points a game when you shoot 33 times a game. And by the way,  dar was doubled last season??? Really??? Cause all i remember is him coming down the floor and shooting  wide open 23 foot jumpers. Big east coaches arent dumb, they sat back and let dar be dar.

Re: WW AT #1 SPOT?

Do you really think Wilson was a better player then Dar??? Way to step out there o'h basketball wizard.

You are finally right on one thing. Big East coaches are not dumb. But as far as your "let Dar be Dar" comment goes not quite. Game in and game out Dar would draw the other teams best perimeter defender. Night in and night out. Walker was the one left out there and more often then not Will "thirty in the garden" Walker would stand around and do nothing. Look at his assist total ! Look at his rebound totals ! Look how many he times he went to the line ! All that and was a turnstile on defense. He scored points in some games but most of them were meaningless . Afterall, how many big baskets are being scored by a team that was 0-16?

As far as being this great worker??? Go back and read the story Lance did on Walker when he talks about this being the first summer he stayed on campus and worked out. And why? He has a thought of playing for $$$$$. Hows that for work ethic.

As far as Walker being one of the better players on DePaul that speaks to how bad DePaul is and has been rather than how good Walker is.
