RE: Looking Ahead to South Florida
This is our most important game in the last 5 years. We all wanted improvement. We win this game vs a terrible South Florida team we guarantee we won't finish last. It is obviously not much of an improvement but it is something. Plus I am very sick of losing to them.
Go DePaul

Our most important game in the last 5 years? Just a little hyberbole here Chas?
I need to check the batteries in my sarcasm meter
The only thing important about this game is it takes us one game closer to the end of the season
Build it and they will come

RE: Looking Ahead to South Florida
Lets not get carried away. Win or lose thus season has still been disappointing. So we finish 14 instead if 15 with the same amount of wins as last year. Big deal

RE: Looking Ahead to South Florida
Not to put words in his mouth, but maybe what Chas meant to say was that losing to SF would guarantee yet another last place finish and further cement our epically poor reputation among fans and recruits. DePaul HAS to show some kind of improvement. Win this game and we might be lucky enough to not finish in the cellar. mrap24 wrote: Lets not get carried away. Re: Looking Ahead to South Florida
I will be there pulling for the Demons. Looking forward to my first in-person evaluation this year. I should be close enough to OP to yell annoying substitution suggestions.

I don't think finishing 14th rather than 15th is going to improve our awful reputation amongst fans and recruits. Win or lose this game, this team has shown ZERO improvement from last year. What a mess.

How many teams from say, "BCS" conferences...
... are giving up more PPG than DePaul?
How many major conference (or any conference) head coaches who've been on the job three years have a worse conference winning percentage than Purnell during his time at DePaul?
What programs at major conferences have signed less Scout top 150 players over that time span than DePaul?
