Re: DePaul vs. Louisville postgame
Anybody who thinks we'll be a better team once BY and CM are gone just needs to look at the boxscore from this game. Both players played their hearts out tonite with nearly no support from anybody else. If this team is to improve next year, don't get rid of your best players, improve from the bottom up. There's plenty of bodies expendable for improved talent.

Re: DePaul vs. Louisville postgame
22 points for Melvin, 20 for Young, and not much else from the rest of the Blue Demons cast tonight. 1 for 9 from 3 pt. range.

Reality hurts. We're bad and will be for years to come. Admin. doesn't care. Even as an alumnus, I'm getting close to adopting a new team to support.

Terrible call
Just watched this video on Behanan's poster of Clahar. The video clearly shows that Clahar's feet were outside the circle. #1 play on Sports Center and it was a charge. Thank you Jim Burr. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v...eature=youtu.be

I hope we're not done recruiting for 2013.

Re: DePaul vs. Louisville postgame
Sorry BBD but your hatred of Jim Burr fogged your head on your call. He was clearly inside the restricted circle.
Go DePaul

Watch it again Chas. Watch the final clip and look at where his feet are when contact is made. Not before, but when the contact occurs. One foot is definitely out, the other is on the line.

Re: DePaul vs. Louisville postgame
Thought we played hard but as usual we just simply don't have the talent. When Siva went out we played a great stretch of basketball on both sides of the floor. We just simply CANNOT stop dribble penetration so as soon as Siva came back they pulled away. Melvin and Young were great last night and Kirk is definitely improving. Look on the bright side.... At least Brandon Young saved our streak of 20 straight years hitting at least one 3 point shot. That is the most exciting thing Depaul has going right now

Re: DePaul vs. Louisville postgame
When we cut it to 9, two possessions in a row Russ smith blew buy BY and they got laypus, ball game. For as good as BY is at scoring, he is that bad defensively. I can't remember a more 1 dimensional player in quite a while. I wishe we coils sub him out for defense --------------------------------------------- --- lovethedraelon wrote: Thought we played hard but as usual we just simply don't have the talent. Re: DePaul vs. Louisville postgame
I love DePaul hoops have for years me and my dad have had season tickets since the 2000 era and I did not even attend the school. But this has just turned embarrassing, if they cant turn it around next year Purnell has to go I'm so sick of watching us press the whole game and it hurts us more then it helps us. We always play a competitive first half then the other team makes their adjustments and kill us in the 2nd half. I have never seen a team go this long without having a shooter your telling me there is not one white 3-point shooter in the state of IL/WI/IN we cant recruit? I'm sick and tired of hearing about the All-States location if we won and recruited in Chicago fans would come out to see games just like they did in 04. Don't mean to rant just tired of a program that once was solid, now cannot even make the NIT. If Purnell cant do it next year he needs to go along with the AD. Bring back Dave Leitao at least his teams competed at a high level

Re: DePaul vs. Louisville postgame
Totally agree that we need to start recruiting for fundamentals rather than athleticism. We need high IQ players who can shoot. Thankfully, we will get that in BG Jr We need more of it though. I hope Curington also fits that mold.
Honestly even a guy like Joe Tulley would be huge for this team right now. I was hoping Morgan would fill that role this year again but he just can't seem to find his shot.

I don't know how Purnell hands out defensive assignments but there were some possessions where Morgan was the only white jersey going for the rebound.

Re: DePaul vs. Louisville postgame
I'm not sure what you were watching Love the Draelon, but BY is the king of garbage time scoring. And he moves his feet on defense like a toreador. I wonder if he says ole`every time his man goes by him. If so, he'd be fluent in Spanish by now. He and McKinney could have a toreador contest, especially when we wear our red jerseys.

Re: DePaul vs. Louisville postgame
I hear you tampademon. I was at the game with my old man last night who is a season ticket holder. There was a play in the first hald were we turned the ball over at half court and siva or smith got the ball and Brandon was back on defense in the corner. He just stood their and let siva get a running start for a lay in. Brandon came over at the last second for a half ass attempt at a block. Not sure what the hell he was doing, but I would of pulled his ass out of the game after that effort. Thats our leader though. I thought my dad was going to walk out of the stadium right after that play.
