Re: DePaul vs. St. John's post-game
This program isn't any better than when JW was here. The conference is the weakest that it has been in over 5 years and we are losing to teams we shouldn't lose to. We are the biggest joke in the BCS and OP is a fraud.

Re: DePaul vs. St. John's post-game
The half-time buzzer went off.... I checked the mail, paid some bills..... and forgot about the game until I tuned back in with 5 mins left. So for what it's worth, DePaul played an even game while I was watching But I'm probably a top 1% or top 0.1% ranked depaul fan in terms of keeping up with the team, so if they can't keep my interest, it shows you how amazingly out of mind they are with the rest of the city, including depaul students, alumni and casual fans.

I too would consider myself a huge depaul fan. Ive attended hundreds of games since the early 90's and always follow the team closely. However, recently, I miss games both live and on tv and when I do make time to watch, like today, it's hugely disappointing. I'm actually shocked that there are still several thousand people who show up. The "product" is close to unwatchable. A real shame.

Re: DePaul vs. St. John's post-game
AD is a joke, students don't care and coach has retired in place. What a shame! A new stadium is not the answer. Play on campus and join the Horizon league. That's about all the administration is up to.

Re: DePaul vs. St. John's post-game
Chalk today's loss up to recruiting. Those SJU players can play any style better than our guys. More talent, more skill, more athleticism, more length. Today was an indictment of OP's recruiting. McKinney and Clahar wouldn't see the floor if they were at SJU.

Coaching, or lack of...
With 3 minutes left DePaul in with in 3/4 pts, so why not foul the worst FT shooting team in the BE? Obekpa shooting 25%, instead the decide to foul(s) Harrison a 71% shooter. This lack of basketball IQ is a result of poor teaching and an unprepared coach.

Re: DePaul vs. St. John's post-game
Just returned from the game. Same old script.
Great product you put out on the floor OP.
JLP keep doing what your doing.
First game in person of the season and my last.
Worst caring so much about something and seeing it live with your own eyes.
All State has some nice upgrades. Too bad the product on the floor nor the coach stays the same. A dam shame.

I think it's time for OP to FIRE his "power staff" because they all ******* suck

Re: OP - Your Assistants SUCK
billy garret is the bigest joke of them all. the white dude grad assitant next to him does more. BGSR cant coach or recruit apparently, so what is his purpose? OldSchoolDemon wrote:

Re: OP - Your Assistants SUCK
Nothing to be ashame. We just lost to a better team. Lavin came in and said "Ok we will run with you, bc our guys are Big East material. "

Re: OP - Your Assistants SUCK
Rapture - Can't agree with you more about BGSR, spoke with him briefly at Chicago Classic only because DePaul had reserved seats next to where I was sitting. Let me just say that if I was a parent and BGSR came into my home lets just say I would come away very unimpressed. Does anybody have updates on these JUCO players.

Re: DePaul vs. St. John's post-game
I just got back from the game, too. I came away thinking that we lost because we shot 35% and made some ill-timed turnovers, but now I realize that it was only because Lavin is such a great coach!

Re: OP - Your Assistants SUCK
The guy playing in California had 10 point & 12 rebounds as his team won. The other player in Texas can't show much because he's playing behind the #1 center in Juco.

Re: DePaul vs. St. John's post-game
Tampa, you absolutely correct SJU had better basketball players. Clahar shouldn't be playing before McDonald. He give a lot of hustle but too many mental mistake. Morgan is very limited in what he brings to the team. He can't rebound or dribble very well, if he is not scoring then he brings nothing. He also has 3 or 4 turnovers per games and at the wrong time.
