Re: DePaul vs. UMBC Post-game
It was nice to see that depaul could just kind of turn on the gas and spread the lead a little more every time umbc made a push, but its extremely frustrating that they won't just play that way for 40 minutes!
And what was BY doing today?? Poor decision after poor decision. Moses Morgan liked like he didn't even want to be there.
I'm not worried about this lack of effort and intensity carrying over to BE games, but I am worried about next Saturday.
I feel like CM, DR, WC, and JC are the only ones who actually come to play for these games.

Re: DePaul vs. UMBC Post-game
It alays seems that the opposition get me shots then we do - this game 61 to 49. Way too many turn overs but at least in the second half we cut down on the fouls. Clahar really helps us off the bench. Clemons didn't play, Morgan seems out of it and BY was awful today.
Unimpressive.

I'll take the win as it is, and now focus my energy on next game.

Re: DePaul vs. UMBC Post-game
I will hold off on commenting until we get into conference play, way too many cupcakes on the schedule right now. Win against ASU was big one, Morgan seems to be a good barometer of success in these games...

Re: DePaul vs. UMBC Post-game
Sloppy win, but they played through it and came out with a W and that is what counts here. Longest winning streak since 93-94, so I can't complain. The focus needs to improve going forward that's for sure. Can't play down to the competition. We have to play DEPAUL basketball regardless of the opponent. Hopefully they will continue to learn with each game and come out strong in conference play. Glad to see OP bench BY after the horrible and completely unneccesary shot going down the home stretch. That tells me OP sees the focus problem and is sending a message that the players will hopefully embrace. 9-3...I'll freakin take it!!!

Re: DePaul vs. UMBC Post-game
Take the win and move on. Overall I have been unimpressed by team play. I can only hope " we are playing down to the competition" and not playing at our ultimate skill level. I fell for this preseason story last year after we won many games and looked ugly..... And then got rolled over in BE play. Hopefully this year will be different.
I will take the win and hope for the best.

Re: DePaul vs. UMBC Post-game
just a lackluster game though you sensed that DePaul was always in control. WC and Melvin were solid and that was the difference.
However, they won't win many games in the BE conference with play like this.
