For me it is way to early to say. They both have to flip flop positions a few more times, pick disastrous running mates, pander to whomever they are in front of at the moment etc. Not to mention there can always be an untimely scandal.
Sure, a majority of their positions are known, but I anticipate some new revelations between now and Nov.

Re: OT - I have to ask the board this very serious question
I refuse to vote for a "lesser of 2 evils" so unless but some magical divine providence gets Ron Paul on the ballot I won't be voting.
Actually, maybe I will vote. I will just write Dr. Paul in.

Re: OT - I have to ask the board this very serious question
Not exactly the kind of first responces I expected...hint, hint, economy, entitlement, military, bailouts, debt, the Syria situation, backing Isreal if they strike Iran, opening up oil drilling, etc. etc.
OK, since I started the thread this is my thinking - Obama has to go. Under Obama we are becoming more and more along the lines of Greece, Spain, etc. We are becoming more and more a Socialist Country - a Country of "entitlements", a Country of people who took it upon themselves to study hard, work hard and earned what they worked for....only for this President to say tax such people even more and more, "spread the wealth" around to the low-lifes who expect goverment handouts from the hard working American people while they sit on their fat asses having done nothing, tried nothing.
You know now where I come from.
I will not go and back and forth with anyone who disagrees with me, nor post back with anyone who agrees with me.
Just my opinion, hoping to read other opinions.
On a side note, I believe this Presidential race will be the most important of our lifetimes for this reason - the odds of two Supreme Court Justices leaving the bench are likely - and whomever wins this race will nominate/bring in our next two Supreme Court Justices.
This potential change(s) in the Supreme Court will likely affect our Country/lives for the next decade, if not longer.

I'm not sure. My only concern is balancing the budget. Whoever has the best plan to do so will get my vote.

I don't know how anyone in their right mind, outside of an uber partisan progressive, could look at the ineptitude of the last 3.5 years and say I want 4 more of that.

Re: OT - I have to ask the board this very serious question
I just wish I could pay my taxes with an IOU every year like the government does with just about everything... Don't worry America...I'm good for it... If I could do that I could give much more to ASU for the important things in life... I've already told my four grandkids that they need to work a couple of jobs as soon as they can to support me in my old age... I figure I'm entitled to it just the way basketball players think they are entitled to playing time at the college they chose to attend... Economic social justice starts with me... Go Devils!!!

--------------------------------------------- Why not Gary Johnson? Seems like a better idea to start building the legitimacy of third parties if that's your feeling, plus Gary Johnson's policies are very similar to Ron Paul's.

RE: OT - I have to ask the board this very serious question
devildust, don't you think your generation has given your grand kids enough debt without expecting them to get an early job and support you?
I know I'm being funny, and so were you, but there is some truth to that.

Re: OT - I have to ask the board this very serious question
I thought on DD this subject matter was Taboo? I think I will add my nickles worth ( 2 cents won't cut it) before this thread is locked.
Half of America even pays income Taxes now ( maybe a little under 50% now) and a Government can only hand out assistance/freebies for so long. Yes the Feds can print money 24-7 as I suspect they have but that can't last forever. Greece and Spain are good examples and for History buffs The Roman Empire is a interesting read.
Hope & Change.... many are still hoping but really not a lot has changed for the better in my view of American Society or Economics. I see the polls and hear how this race is neck to neck and it just amazes me, I'm not a Brilliant Man but I'm far from stupid also, someone please explain to me the meaningful changes since 2008 for the working class.
Obama care, I have awesome insurance ( same plan as Congress) my premiums rose 20% in the last year and I can see a one payer system if this health plan is not repealed before 2014 kick in date. We will all end up under medicare, in crammed waiting rooms and seeing Government Doctors.
I could go on for hours but won't, yet if someone can really explain how America in on the correct path I'm all ears.
