IRAQ: ISIS destroys the tomb of Jonah

ISIS has destroyed the mosque built by Shiite muslims over the believed ancient burial ground tomb of Jonah from the story in the bible about Jonah and the whale.

LOL,  When I was in the AF I got to see one of those go off once in a training mission in a weapons range in Italy.  Its like a mini Nuke really just no radiation and its mainly made to clear out jungle and heavy forest to set up FOB's and landing strips in war zone's.  For battle its only real use is when you have large clusters of enemy armor positioned close together.  Its a big bad beast but not usable in Iraq and the Iraqi AF has no aircraft like a B52 to drop it.

HELLO!!! The prophet Jonah is found in the Old Testament. He was from the northern kingdom of Israel.

You should change the title of your thread.

This site that was destroyed actually has ties to all 3 main faiths of Islam, Christianity and Judaism.  The tomb was built by early Christians.  The Jews actually believe he was not buried at this site, they believe he is north of Nazareth according to a scholar they had on CNN.

ISIS has engaged in ethnic cleansing of Christians in Northern Iraq and there is no outcry.  Hundreds of thousands of Muslims are murdered by the Syrian regime and no outcry.    Israel defends itself against a daily rocket barrage from Hamas, a terrorist organization and the world is appalled.

I agree that Israel has the right to defend itself. But why did they have to bomb a NATO school yesterday killing dozens of children?

Not a NATO school, UNWRA school.  You have been duped by the liberal media.  It has already been established that an errant Hamas rocket hit that school.  Perhaps you also didn't realize that Hamas has been using UN schools for storage of rockets and as launch sites.  Hamas has been intentionally putting its citizens in harm's way.  Israel has agreed to three cease fires, but every time Hamas has refused.  Hamas would rather have their own children die than have peace with Israel, how does one fight any enemy like that.

Israel has released drone footage this past week of Hamas firing from the 3rd floor of a hospital that was treating wounded on the first two floors.  I am sure the school was being used the same way.

You expect people to believe that one side would kill their own children? eek1

Nobody's buying it.

It was an errant rocket. Nonetheless you have no understanding of the Middle East. You cannot look at Hamas with western sensibilities. Their own leadership has urged their citizens to act as human shields. They have no problem hiding rockets in schools and hospitals. Israel has used incredible restraint

The errant rocket thing came from the IDF! Eyewitnesses saw Idf tanks do it
The 3rd shelter to be hit this week, some dupes probably think a errant Hamas rocket hit all 3!
Israel is losing the propaganda war by killing a kid every hour!

I support neither HAMAS and Likud are bloody partners in an escalating cycle of violence.
Hamas wants to drive Israel into the sea, the 2 state solution is unacceptable to Likud!
A perfect match made in hell!

Israel is used to losing "propaganda" wars.  More important to Israelis is that they've never lost the wars for their survival.  Go provide cover for Hamas, ISIS, and Hezbollah in Tehran, cultstew.  They'll marvel at your intellect, pat you on your back and make you feel real good about yourself as they escort you to the headsman.  wink

Qur'an (17:33) "And do not kill the soul which Allah has forbidden, except by right" An important verse that is used by Shahid to not only justify their own deaths, but that of other bystanders who might be believers as well.  The end justifies the means, with the goal being the defeat of the kafir and the establishment of Islamic rule.

Bukhari (52:54) - The words of Muhammad: "I would love to be martyred in Al1ah's Cause and then get resurrected and then get martyred, and then get resurrected again and then get martyred and then get resurrected again and then get martyred."  This is why modern-day Jihadists often say that they love death.

Muslim (20:4678) - During the battle of Uhud, Muhammad was desperate to push men into battle.  He promised paradise for those who would martyr themselves, prompting a young man who was eating dates to throw them away and rush to his death

Re: IRAQ: ISIS destroys the tomb of Jonah

Muslim (20:4655) - A man asks Muhammad "which of men is the best?"  Muhammad replies that it is the man who is always ready for battle and flies into it "seeking death at places where it can be expected."  (Tellingly perhaps, the next most saintly man in Islam is the hermit who lives in isolation "sparing men from his mischief.")

Muslim (20:4681) - "Surely, the gates of Paradise are under the shadows of the swords."  After hearing Muhammad say that martyrdom leads to paradise, a young man pulls his sword and breaks the sheath (indicating that he has no intention of returning) then flings himself into battle until he is killed.

Muslim (20.4635) - "Nobody who enters Paradise will (ever like to) return to this world even if he were offered everything on the surface of the earth (as an inducement) except the martyr who will desire to return to this world and be killed ten times for the sake of the great honour that has been bestowed upon him."
