I guess Sendek had nothing else to prove (shoulder shrug emoticon).
Expand CFB playoffs to 8 teams!

Likely to help with recruiting. I wonder what the buy out situation is...did it change to help ASU? A bit of a surprise.

When has anything like this exactly helped asu recruiting before?   Arizona fans love sendek.  It's great because he hasn't made asu any better in 8 years...but all he has to do to coach there forever is just go to the tournament and lose in the first round every 4-5 years.

Oh my lord. Why does Sendek get away with this crap. He is a much better coach than Evans but this is ridiculous.

Congrats to ASU, particularly to this astute administration.  Also want to say thank you once again

to Herb and to all his loyal supporters.  Thanks for saving the program this year and allowing true

Devil fans to look forward to the NCAA tournament this next year and long into the future.

Brilliant!!!!

I assume this post is sarcasm...because Asu is going to be terrrrriiiibleee this year.  If asu goes .500 I'll be surprised.

Herb just beat UofA again

Oh wait, the rivalry isn't that important which is why you hired Rich Rod I guess.
Tastes like a Touchdown!

It was Millers evil plan to lose to his old buddy Sendek, he didn't want to put him in the dog house, so Miller threw him a bone hahaha Told you that win last year will give Sendek an extension. Good Job Miller!! =) ASU Basketball going places

Re: Sendek is extended again

Jan 16th ASU played ARIZONA in Tucson and lost 91-68.  It wasn't even a game.
Feb. 4th ASU played ARIZONA in Tempe and won by 3 in double overtime.
ARIZONA still won the PAC-12 and ASU had it's biggest win ever.

You make it sound like you would trade coaches.

The way I see it,  we split last year.

I know ASU's season is one game.

But for the UofA it's 30+ games.

Only eight teams have completed perfect seasons, including postseason tournament victories, since the tournament era began in 1938.  The last one was 1976 Indiana.

So, a loss to ASU doesn't stop the world for ARIZONA.
Did I want to win??    HELL YES!!!  Should your students have gotten a "T"?  Yes.

In the big picture not a big deal, but it got Sendek an extension.

Great post! Herb has shown what he can do for the Sun Devils when he destroyed UA and made another NCAA tournament. His recruiting is rock-solid and will eventually elevate ASU to another level. The fans love him and appreciate the work he has put into the program. Excited that we could secure one of CBB's top coaches for another five years! Ignore the naysayers and be optimistic!

Are you getting more creative with your screennames or did someone already beat you to DevilMayCare3?

¿Qué? Why do you Herb haters have to attack anyone who supports our coach and the program? There's a reason why Anderson secured a great teacher of the game for another five years. Deal with it and think positive!
