ASU at Washington Game Thread

ASU at Washington Game Thread

Tonight the Sun Devils will look to complete a road sweep of the Washington schools for the first time since the 2002-03 season as the take on the Huskies in Seattle.

ASU (17-4, 6-2) overcame a horrendous first half shooting display on Thursday to defeat Washington State behind the sensational play of Jahii Carson and Carrick Felix, as the two combined of 32 of the team's 37 second half points for the come from behind win.

In ASU's three conference road games this season, Carson is averaging 21.7 points and 38 minutes per game while shooting 50% from the field. For the year, Carson has scored 20 or more points 10 times.

After posting 11 points and 10 rebounds against the Cougars, Felix registered his 10th double-double of the season.

Complimenting Carson and Carrick has been the emergence of Evan Gordon, who has averaged 16.8 points and over 39 minutes in the team's five games, shooting 49% from the field.

The Sun Devils turned the ball over just four times on Thursday, tied for the fewest by an ASU team in he last 26 years. Arizona State will need a similar effort tonight against a Washington squad that likes to apply a backcourt press and plays a tough perimeter defense.

Tip-off is at 7 on ESPNU.

Go Devils!!

Btw, next week's match-ups against the bay area schools looks a bit tougher now, don't they? Down go the Ducks, again. A win tonight puts ASU tied atop the Pac-12.

Huge game for asu. A loss will make it really hard to make the NCAA trny.

Carson gets it started for the Sun Devils once again, just like on Thursday, 2-2.

Think you have to have ESPNU to get it.

Is there a wet spot atop the key or something? Felix has slipped twice and Carson once already.

Nice to see them working it inside more tonight rather than relying on the 3's early.

The Devils are really making a point of getting it inside to Jordan but need to tighten up on the other end.

They look very lazy on defense right now.  Good timeout by Herb.

Huskies are 6-8 from the floor, Gaddy leading the way with 6 points.

7-0 run by UW over last 1:28.
