GB-MN Game Thread
Thought I heard that Clifton was going to be able to go today? Hopefully Lang can hold his own... Go Pack!

Oh, great start Ryan Grant... Thank God that it was a "forward progress has stopped" unchallengeable call...

Rodgers looks scared -- threw the screen to Grant too early - way off target on the other two passes

SaintVincent wrote:Rodgers looks scared -- threw the screen to Grant too early - way off target on the other two passes Agreed. Wonder if it is nerves or if it comes from MNs d-line getting in his head a bit with the pounding he took last time against MN...

RE: GB-MN Game Thread
If he threw the ball at a target within 3 seconds of getting the ball there wouldn't be so many sacks to "get into his head".

RE: GB-MN Game Thread
After all the defense has done, special teams allows that return and gives the Vikings an insanely short field. On another note, how often do you see a KR get chased down and tackled at the 20-ish on one of those returns? Great job of not giving up by Kuhn and Collins. And now, more penalties... smart playing, guys...

RE: GB-MN Game Thread
Rodgers taking all these sacks says one of a few things . Either: a) our receivers aren't getting open often enough or prompt enough b) rodgers does not anticipate the receiver breaking open enough/is always waiting for them to get wide open c)rodgers doesn't believe/want to throw the ball away. or a combination of all three.

Let's talk about the game, suckasaywha. You can start a thread on that if you want to, but let's not start some pissing match here.

Horrible penalty on Jolly. The lack of discipline on this team costs GB 4 points.

I'd say a combination of all three. It's still early. I bet he calms down a little and plays better.

I know this is primarily a board that looks at football from a historical perspective (what if Favre this, what if TT that, who did what to whom) but just looking at this team the lack of discipline and execution is the biggest area of concern IMO. Really starting to lose faith in MM.

I used to think that McCarthy was a good coach. This season of penalties is making me rethink that opinion. This team is so undisciplined that you question whether there are any coaches at all!

Man... I don't think these sacks from Rodgers are necessary... toss the ball away, or better yet run. He could have gotten a first down.

2007, what do you want me to say??? I'm making an observation on the game, one that is probably crucial to our success or failure today.

The Favre fans on the Board should be happy. Personally, I just think Childress is proving to be a better coach that MM. Maybe there was a reason TT wanted Childress more than he wanted MM.
