Preparations for K-town

I know this is an exciting time for the players, this is the biggest game of the year for them.

It is very important that you get plenty of rest(sleep) this week and go in this game with a level and focused head.

The wonders are looking to slap you in the mouth and will if you're not mentaly and physically prepared.

This game will be intense!

Hoping for a good game friday night.

On a side note:Concord with their four wins all in the conference will have another game after next week. They are in the playoffs. The bad news is their 1st round opponent looks like either West Rowan or Hibriten.Good luck the next two weeks guys.

Re: Preparations for K-town

i watched the NW/Brown game today on tv.   i would have to say the weakest part of brown is the DB's  i expect moore to have a huge day. i didnt see anybody on the field that could stop him,  i am worried about that beast of a running back they got though. hopefully our young D can slow him down.  hope to a good injury free game as both teams get ready to make a playoff run.

That would be good for this young team to experience.  Two state championship contenders.  They will get the chance to see what they will be working for in the offseason.

I would say Concord needs to go into this game with the attitude that they can win. Cant go into the game scared. For Brown, they need to put Concord out of the game early, bad things will happen with sloppy play early and letting a team that your suppose to beat hang around. Haha, trust me, I know.

RE: Preparations for K-town

Concord, during the first six weeks, looked like a team that didn't think that they could win.  The Concord team that I saw against Hickory Ridge looked like they didn't think that they could lose.

Regardless of the outcome, I think that this year has been a success for both teams.  Kannapolis, so far, has run the table on the SPC with an inexperienced team.

Concord, with an inexperienced team,  has learned to win again and has put the first six weeks of the season behind them.  If all you look at teams based on their records, K-Town is on a roll and should win by 40 points.  If you look at teams based on how they are playing the game, this game is a toss up as both teams are playing well on offense and defense.

Props to Coaches Padgett and Massey.  They've both done a great job.

Re: Preparations for K-town

Spidsta....I am hoping for a very close game.I would love to see the Wonders win on a late field goal.I hate to see one sided games, especially in high school football.I'm happy Concord has gotten it together this season and rides into Memorial Stadium on a four game win streak.

Good luck to both teams.Hoping for a good, close, and clean game by both teams. And if the Spiders are victorious I'm going to start calling them a very good team.biggrin

Re: Preparations for K-town

I'm expecting victory but will consider it a moral victory if you can come away from tomorrow's game with a firm belief that Concord is not a poor to mediocre football team.

I hope it will be a good game.  I'm tired of the blowouts.  I have talked to several Concord fans(?) who said that they were coming to the game in spite of missing all of the other games this season.  I told them to @#$%&*G stay at home and read the Kannapolis paper on Sunday to find the score just like they have all season.

I hope that ALL of Concord's players' parents make it to this game.  There have been a few missing in action this season except for homecoming and senior night.

Shoot, if all of Concord's coaches' families show up, it might be standing room only.

looks like it was standing room only, I just want to see the Spiders keep this same conditioning and preparation for years to come. This ist he kind of football I set down and watch.

I don't pay to watch pee wee, this is football I'm talking, Concord has the heart and desire the play the game as of now!
