Sleeping Giant
Porter Ridge. God forbid they keep that coaching staff with the support they get from the administration.

They are a 4A team that has yet to play another 4A team this year. Sun Valley will be their first 4A opponent all season.
How about those Bearcats.........

SV doesn't even look big enough for 4A, how many trailers do they have?

RE: Sleeping Giant
There are 14 trailers....only 6 are used this year. SV is the second smallest 4A school.....smaller than about 14 3A schools. It's like what happened to Weddington four years ago.

RE: Sleeping Giant
I would disagree with PR being a sleeping giant. Win they did, but I still KNOW Anson blows them out without any turnovers.

They are just a hard working football team who does their best to limit their mistakes. As for the last part of your comment, PR wins by 20 if aliens came down and kidnapped the man-child in the first quarter. What is your point?

RE: Sleeping Giant
its a shame they make a old school like that 4A, they should build you guys a new wing or something instead of going up with all these new schools imo

Hard working and well coached. Not downing PR at all. Point is, in my eyes PR is being viewed on paper as the cream of the crop in the SCC. Just giving my opinion that I think Anson has the best team, bias and all. Ah, and if turnovers counted 5 points Anson wins 52-44.

I don't think anyone is saying PR is the cream of the crop and i really am not seeing you downing PR either. Anson has the best talent pool, but PR has the better conference record. I was just suggesting the whole woulda, coulda, shoulda theory is what you are looking at. Anson SHOULDA won that game. If they COULDA held on to the ball they WOULDA won. The problem is they didn't, plain and simple. It is pretty obvious where they are having issues and if their coaches focused on limiting turnovers, Anson will be a tough out in the playoffs. Small mistakes have big implications when you only have a 5 game conference schedule.

wideout6 wrote: ....as the Pirates will find out on their trip off the Ridge and into the Valley Friday night. yup, as i think i already mentioned, I think SV pulls this one out. I don't like how PR matches up against them. Of course, they could turn the ball over 5 times like Anson and blow it. Regardless, i think it will be a good game. I am sure both teams will be jacked up for it.

RE: Sleeping Giant
Turnovers are a part of the game. The fact of the matter is that we did turn the ball over, miss tackles, was poorly coached. However, we still lost the game. It's over with now.

RE: Sleeping Giant
I would like to see Concord give Anson another slap in the mouth. With another Beecher boy throwing all over them. But, wishful thinking!

Please tell me you are seeing a whole team of doctors. You are writing from a padded room or you secretly wish for Beecher to be bounced on his head. Good Gawd!!

RE: Sleeping Giant
I think Anson could still smack Concord this year by 35. Like Richmond, we can get pumped to play a team that we feel we still have to prove something too. But, coincidental, just wishful thinking.
