Passing game..

Passing game..

What are the best coverage beaters? Ill start with a few of my favorites:

Many teams in this state run either a 3-5 stack or a 50 front and so lots of times you will see Cover 3. My favorite Cover 3 beaters are:

1) All seams with 4 receivers.( could also be 3 WR and a TE) QB has to look off the FS and then hit the opposite seam. Many times FS's will just stay put and react late in order to avoid getting beat by fakes. In that scenario the QB has to be able to put the ball on a line and hit either one of his inside guys right away( once he clears LB's); usually at about 6-8 yards.

2) Flooding the zone. Go trips to one side; perhaps run off the CB with your outside guy, then middle guy runs an out and the inside guy runs a flat.

So what are your favorite coverage beaters for each coverage?

If your a player or coach, what coverage do you love to go up against?

The best pass play in High School football is the old "waggle boot" whether you run it from a Wing T, I-Formation, one back, or Shot Gun.  Easy for any HS QB to read and throw, yet difficult for a HS db/lb to defend.

I agree. Its simple but very effective.........especially if you actually establish any kind of run game.

When teams do prepare well for the waggle and that safety starts flowing over the top to help the CB; a backside post always seems to be a huge play waiting to happen.

What about pass pro? What is the best way to pass pro?

You said it Coach, regarding running.  Coverage is nullified with a run game, it is frustrating when a team lines up and says they can beat you in man, so you run at them and stalk off their best tacklers taking chances in open field.  So best to line up against is a defense where the players are not as good as yours. surprised
