By the way, I know a few alumni that are coaches who would love this job.

The guy who wants this job better get ready to meet some very great expectations or he won't last long either.

Winston has a great group of guys in Varsity and Junior High. Lots of positive things to focus on for the future!

Let me be careful with this. With some of the fans Winston has no one will ever be able to do the job. There has been good coaches come and go and no one was ever satisfied with them. I wish you all the best but you need to realize that the glory days of the past are gone and its time to accept what talent you have and get behind them. It will come back full circle eventually.

Re: Football Job Openings

When I was at Winston, the coaches ran the football program and they did not allow themselves to be subjects of the whining moms and dads or the booster club president. The players and the expectations of the coaches are not the problem. It lies with the manipulation and unreachable expectations of those outside the doors of the football complex. As far as your quote, wapatriots, you can always find a quote to fit your need so why not think for yourself.

Pressure, heat, and time. There will be plenty of pressure and heat at Winston but I am afraid there will not be enough time for someone to become a diamond.

I tell you who they need to hire, it's that old coach thats been there for as long as I can remember. His name escapes me... crap... I remember talking to him after a few ballgames when we played them. Good fella and smart man, has to be to stay at that place for so long.

Just don't know how he put up with Rogers and Upton's crazyy butts those few years, I know that had to be a challenge.

It never ceases to amaze me the power and courage people get from anonymity on this message board. If your real name and photo were to the left of your post, would you still say it? Probably not.

It is what it is. Take the information you get and use it or throw it away. Some people just enjoy stirring the pot and that is what makes life interesting. Everything would really be dull if we were all a duplicate of each other. Don't worry - Be Happy!

The MST pot seems to get stirred more than most. Whatever is cooking is usually in no danger of sticking. There are a lot of spoons out there.

A lot of people get on here just to stir the pot. Thats why the "Ignore this Member" button is a wonderful thing. This site is not as good as it used to be back when i first joined in 2005.

I was told he was going to take the Canton Academy job. He has been offered both jobs. Wonder which one he is taking, Canton or Winston?
