College Baseball in Mississippi
Judging by opening weekend, it's gonna be a fun season for the state of Mississippi. This is one sport where I root for all three teams - nice to see this state be dominant in a sport!

Maybe you need to root for a fourth. Delta State is ranked #1 in the nation in D2.

Re: College Baseball in Mississippi
Can a state post two CWS seasons this millennia and be considered dominant?

#1 Arkansas goes down today. So does #4 Vanderbilt and #7 Stanford. And #6 South Carolina trailing in the 7th. Looks like our teams will be moving up.
Diamond Dogs leading the way!!

Liberty has won that game, and should have won the one earlier today..

They get et everyday. Not a bad way to go out.
PS dog, whassup with your signature UM Homecoming Queen photo? You're a "To The Topper" if I remember correctly. If it's a dig at UM, that's something else.
I had a friend who was extremely smarmy throughout high school. We had a mutual friend who got an appointment and went to West Point (USMA, not the seat of Clay County Mississippi). The smarmy friend went to USM and drove around with a Navy bumper sticker on his car just to aggravate the West Point guy who was only home three weeks a year. That is really wanting to mess with someone.
Go Navy! Beat Army!

Lol ...I'm a state fan...and yes, it's a little dig at the university who supposedly redshirted miss America's. I think they have traded miss Americas for "slutty girls who hook up with football prospects". I've seen some smart black chicks on the ole miss campus who embody what you want in a homecoming queen. I can't believe this was the best option... --------------------------------------------- --- soccerfut wrote:

RE: College Baseball in Mississippi
Truthfully- I am glad they picked someone like that. I don't think homecoming queen needs to be as superficial as some make it. Lot more to "being pretty" than just outside stuff. JMO. That's somebody that represents your university- I'd hope you don't just pick it on superficial qualities.
All depends in how you define it. I do think we celebrate the things that aren't really the right things.

Unless she has some type of thyroid problem I don't want her representing my university. There is usually a reason someone is that fat, and it's usually their own fault

I don't agree with you much, but I agree with this. Even with thyroid problems, they put you on regulatory meds. I guess we're just cold. I'm not meaning supermodel status either. There's a difference between stick figure->fit->morbidly obese

RE: College Baseball in Mississippi
Well...
Like I said, I don't judge people superficially. I don't think someone's weight should determine their value; I think the kind of person you are matters.
You can have the prettiest person in the world, but if she has a crappy attitude, why would you want that representing you? Same for guys. I don't care if you're George Clooney, I'm not impressed if you have a terrible attitude.

RE: College Baseball in Mississippi
I tend to look at it most times that if a person doesn't care enough about themselves to maintain a healthy weight, then they aren't a good representation of a university, organization, etc.. I do understand your view however.

Every campus in America has groupies and slutty girls.I've seen some smart black chicks on the ole miss campus who embody what you want in a homecoming queen. I can't believe this was the best option...Personally I thought you had lost a bet and had to have something Ole Miss up and this was your way of flipping the joke. Apparently I was mistaken. Courtney Pearson is the first black homecoming queen at the University of Mississippi. 50 years after the integration of the school to be exact. She embodies exactly what I want to represent in my school. That is a school that has grown. A school that looks at character not skin color and not someones size as well.
I respect most of the guys that post on this site. You guys are part of my "internet family" if that makes sense. I dont mean to be Mr. Serious, but grow up man... --------------------------------------------- --- soccerfut wrote:
