Ole Miss has a ton of potential this year. No need in getting all hyped up over pre-season rankings. Just look at USC (#1) and Texas A&M (UR) this year in football

OM should have one of the best pitching rotations in the country, but they will have to get some consistency with the bats. IF they do that then this SHOULD BE a solid year

State beat preseason #1, #3, #4(x2), and #8 in a six day span. Not bad. Looking forward to what the Diamond Dawgs can do this season. Hoping for a Regional Host.

Is Florida losing a lot? Surprised to see them at #24.

Mike Zunino, Brian Johnson, Nolan Fontana and Austin Maddox just to name a few. All key contributors

What is State's rotation going to look like?

USM is going to be strong this year. They are returning all weekend starters, and all but one pitchers out of the pen. In the lineup they are losing two bats, but only one that is significant (Brunty was plagued with an injury all of last year).

There should be some quality matchups this year between all of the instate schools.

Not 100% sure. Likely Kendall Graveman is Friday night to start the season. Probably Jacob Lindgren as Saturday. Evan Mitchell, Brandon Woodruff, Chad Girado, Luis Pollorena will all probably contend for Sunday. It will be another deep staff.

And of course Johnathan Holder closing things down at the end

I really hope Will Cox out of Amory sees more innings for State. One of the better pitchers I've ever seen. He was a much better pure pitcher than Woodruff in high school but of course Woodruff brings the velo

I think that USM should be higher than 36 with the players and pitchers they have returning. Should be a year where all 3 go to regionals.

Woodruff will be in the rotation as the Friday guy probably. Then Graveman. Then Lindgren or Mitchell probably. I'll go with Mitchell because he has tons of talent.

Woodruff reminds me a lot of Bobby Wahl or Stratton.. All the potential in the world

Heck, he had like a 3.24 ERA as a freshman. In the SEC Tourney he shut down one of the top teams (can't remember who). State's pitching staff, all the way through, is probably the best in the SEC. Kendall Rogers thinks so

It was Arky...Yeah, they're deep

I'm excited to see OM's pitching staff, most pitchers make that jump from their freshmen to sophomore year under MB...

On another note, I really like Bianco..But barring Bobby Wahl and Mike Mayers getting hurt, we really should host a regional..

And if we don't... I think we're looking for a baseball coach

RE: Collegiate Baseball Preseason Poll

Saw Pollo during football season; he's friends apparently with my best friend's cousins, and we were all out to eat together. There's always that weird moment when you know who they are before they introduce themselves, so I just got it out of the way, told him I was a big fan, yada yada. And I am, he's one of my favorite players to come through.

So we started on baseball, and I didn't want to bother him much with it because even though I'm sure he loves talking about it, he probably gets asked the same thing all the time. I think I said something like, "y'all have a lot coming back, I'm expecting some good things." Something along those lines. I just remember how serious his face got. "Oh yeah, last year wasn't enough. We WILL be better."

That's all of that sixpack, genespage talk, and that's what he's supposed to say, yada yada. I think I just loved that it was Pollo saying that. And I laughed that he thought he needed to make it a point; certainly not. But I'm glad, too; proud of those guys, looking forward to it.

RIP Sank Powe and Bobo Champion- two of the best.

I'm not firing anybody, broski...It's funny cause I've called for one coach to be fired and yall claim I want everyone fired

But excuse me for not accepting mediocrity in baseball...If he hosts a regional 3 outta 5 years, I'll never say a word...But to host 1 regional in 6 years with everything Bianco has should not be acceptable..

However, I'm ready to watch what Bianco can do with a competent AD...He and Boone weren't big buddies I don't think..I just want the program that I care the most about at OM to reach its full potential, and it hasn't been doing that recently IMO

I also don't have knowledge of Boone/Bianco relationship...Just some comments Bianco made led me to that thought...

As I said, I'm not ready to fire Mike yet...But come on, you play in a palace...Let's host some regionals
