Anthony Alford - Ole Miss
Is there anything to the rumor that Alford is transferring to Ole Miss? I just heard it and figured it was a farce.

He did, but the egg bowl was around halftime by the time the team passed by oxford. If he goes or if he stays, I don't really care.

Or did he get dropped off?

He'll never see the field in Oxford.

RE: Anthony Alford - Ole Miss
I can't imagine a worse move for an athlete than this.
This guy gave up potential first-round money in baseball by letting teams know he was going to USM, then he ends up signing anyway while also playing football. So he wasted a fall where he could have been developing as a pro baseball player so that he could step on the field and possible be the worst QB in Division 1 football.
Now, instead of sticking it out and turning around, he's going to sit out a year so that he can go to Oxford, where he has no shot of ever playing QB. All the while, had he committed to playing pro baseball from the start, there's no telling how high he'd have been drafted or how quickly he'd progress through the professional ranks.

If he tries and plays QB there I agree because Bo Wallace and Kincade will be there.
If he plays another position he would for sure see the field. I'm not sure on specifics but everyone is saying he's going to Ole Miss. Not sure if he's going to try and play QB or another position.

For once we agree. It doesnt really add up. Maybe he knows he will be moved to WR or something. He doesnt have a chance at QB.(well about as much chance as Liggins does) WPwriter wrote:I can't imagine a worse move for an athlete than this.

Look, the kid just has had too many people trying to run his life. It's sad. It really is. I don't see where he fits in on a football field. Yes, he's a good athlete. But he's at best a longterm project. Plus, he's got legal issues and baseball. I would hope UMiss makes him walk on because he's a waste of a scholarship IMO. He can forget playing QB. He's just not one. Plus, UMiss has about 8 QBs already. We all know who's pushing him to UM. So, he'll sit out a year, so he'll only have two years to play. I don't see it happening. Go play baseball full time kid.
