Batbusters Gulf Coast announcement

Velocity Gulf Coast is excited to announce our affiliation with the nationally known Batbusters’ organization. Our new organization name is Batbusters Gulf Coast.

Our goal remains unchanged:Develop and grow young ladies to enable them to compete and play at the next level, through sound fundamentals and quality coaching, by providing a competitive environment while promoting good sportsmanship, teamwork, and strong work ethics.

This new direction is the result of the desire to compete more regularly on a national
level in Tournaments, Exposures, and Showcase events.  VGC is proud to be part of the Batbusters organization, our new look will be revealed soon.  Please share this news as we believe it is a great opportunity for fastpitch players in the South.

Thank you,
Tommy Castanedo

Re: Batbusters Gulf Coast announcement

These teams compete at the highest level. You must recruit the top players from all over. It is the way to go these days if want to attend and play for some of the major D1 programs. You play some of the best teams in the US.

The following teams recruit girls from all parts:

Batbusters
Corona Angels
Team Mizuno
Beverly Bandits
GA Impact
Firecrackers
So. Cal A's
Texas Impact
New Jersey Intensity

Please 1Express. Stop it! These are the top teams in PGF. The Blue Angels did not play nor beat anyone of these teams. Stop putting out The BS for Coach K and her failing organization..

The Blue Angles do not have the talent to compete with these girls, if so were The Blue Angels at PGF Nationals. They did not even compete well at ASA.

Stop drinking The Blue Kool-Aid. Hell The Blue Angels could not even win your on Fall Tournament last year in Tunica against The first time out Mississippi Glory and a new B minus team in The Rip Squad... Should I keep going?

No, you all know the truth, but you can 't say that you can only keep on attaching yourself to that sinking ship called The USS Coach K.

Lets face facts, Coach Boaz has put together a ligit organization, and some of the blind mice from the blue angels got some sight and ran accross town.

Re: Batbusters Gulf Coast announcement

I hate hijacking Tommy's post. But 1Express you have took shots at these girls (Teams) who have become part of a National Organization over different threads on this message board.

Tommy took a group of 15 and 16 year old girls, by the way from Mississippi and when they were Velocity put a tale whipping on alot of top teams. The Batbusters were one they beat. So the Batbusters saw an opportunity to reach out and put the brand on a talented group of Mississippi girls to give them a name in the college recruiting game.

I know most of the coaches who coach the teams I listed above and I know for a FACT The Blue Angels did not beat one of them.

So tell me the tournament and team that The Blue Angels beat?

Just a reminder When The Blue Angels were going around beating up on teams at the fall tournament in Meridian last fall, teams who Coach K knew she could beat, then on Sunday, Tommy and Velocity (Batbusters) show up for a couple of games, put a 6-0 beat down on The Blue Angels and Coach K could not run from that one, thanks to a nice tournament director.

and from what I saw y'all earned that honor.  Best wishes to you!!

Re: Batbusters Gulf Coast announcement

Enough...This type bickering reminds me of kids playground...and is one of the reasons MS kids get the short end of the stick...
Gold is merely a name now...used to be revered by ASA teams...but its turned into just a word now...I love playing 'Gold' teams...usually means over confident
Kudos to Coach Ks Blue Angels, MS Glory, Germantown, Elite, (insert your teams name) and the other various organizations (aint EVEN gonna try to list them all) who push the game of fast pitch softball.
Do I agree with how all of them are ran?...uh, no...but I'll keep that to myself...

But, the turmoil and plain BS spewed on here sounds like a gigantic urinary distance match, its almost as bad as HS ball arguments...and both are about as beneficial to the sport as arguing over whose local curb store has the cleanest bathroom...

ANY team on here I listed has been beaten, and has beaten teams that should have not done so...no organization here, nor in CA, FL or TX is perfect...maybe try working TOGETHER sometimes? Amazes me how folks back stab each other AND each others kids...fellow told me once, College recruiting is like a reversed crab trap...first crab in shuts the door to keep ALL the other crabs OUT...

How about this?...get out of the HS, 8U mind set...and start pushing for EACH MS kid?  Lord knows they already have a hard row to hoe without grown ups and even coaches and parents causing them issues...most based on personal agenda, and egos...quit throwing darts at kids, take an honest assessment of YOUR kid (leave off the Daddy / Mommy goggles), if she needs help seek it (from reputable people)...quit leaving it to your league, HS, TB coach only...get in the game, go as far as you need to to get get your rump whipped and start from there...do something to make YOUR kid / team / league / State better...because straight up, we have bigger issues facing our kids, as far as Collegiate Softball than the petty stuff on here...

I apologize if I seemed to be ranting and / or raving...I meant to be doing neither...
But this isnt the place to do that...start your own thread or PM's....and I am as guilty as sin of derailing a thread...but yalls inner North arguments dont need to be on Coach Castanedos announcement thread...sorta like fighting over girls at a family reunion...

I know this doesn't matter, but were you actually at that tournament? The Rip Squad was one of the final four teams that weekend, and were only eliminated by losing to the Heat after putting up a great fight against an amazing team. (MS Shockers, AL Twisters, and Arkansas Heat were the other three. Not bad company.)
