Would the Clinton soccer teams travel to another location with their fancy shelters? Of course not. Any Clinton team that makes it to the finals already has an advantage - there is no denying that. For the finals, the rule should be to use whatever shelter you want, just as long as it can fit into the back of a minivan.Seriously, does anyone have any idea of how much money is made by either MHSAA or Clinton because they get the honor of hosting the finals? My recommendation is to buy another set of shelters, and then people will be talking about how really nice it is to have the finals every year n Clinton, rain or shine.

I suggest other teams purchase one if they have the opportunity as they really come into use during the high school season.I say we stop beating a dead horse because it's the same arguments over and over again.

It just makes sense, for that game. It's not like another playoff game. I don't think they need to go around throwing free monkeys at the players for being in it, but I do think a little shelter from the rain is a good move. I'm not sure if people know they can get on the field to put their own tents up. This year was MUCH looser than in years before, and I'm glad for that. With the way the games are scheduled, I honestly could see a lot of people not being sure about it. And it being a state final and all. They should ask, but then again, I do think that's something that should be provided.

I could care less where the championship games are played. I will freely admit that I prefer Clinton but that is because of the short trip home (5 min). I honestly think the reasons for being held in Clinton is that facililty is top notch, muddy fields are not an issue, and it's a short drive for the MHSAA folks. I can't think of other motives...would you like to share?
