The winning coach gets Tupelo job with a huge pay raise.

I couldn't see Pogue leaving SP for Tupelo.  I don't know anything about Brandon's HC.  I think Tupelo will go for a younger coordinator

South Panola leads the all-time series, 1-0 (SP beat Brandon in the 1993 playoffs). #fancystats

Peterson won't leave Brandon for Tupelo. He's perfectly happy at Brandon. Pay is well and he has players returning to make more runs at State. Why would he want to go to a school that continually fails to live up to potential.

Pogue has quite a load of talent coming up for the Tigers.  Why go to Tupelo where the chance to win is minimal.

Pogue's son will be a sophmore next year & will be the starting qb in 2014. He can run some, throw pretty good & ran the team to an undefeated year. 8 wins The defense was really good also, very few td's against them.

Which gives credibility to coach Pogue NOT leaving SP.  Why take his son away for players he is used to, can anticipate and is already fitting in to the varsity program?  To take him away from that would not make any sense at all.

Of course, there is his contract to consider too......

I didn't pick a team yet.. It should be a better game than most might think, SP is not like the teams of years past but has the players to still win our state, Now Brandon has the size to match up with SP, Brandon has the Offense to score points, All I can say if Brandon comes ready to play its going to be a barn burner.. Good match up tho..good luck to both teams,

I think Brandon will surprise some people- if they don't win, it will be closer than people think.  Taylor Polk is a great football player, and the Bulldogs have some talented sophomore in Gardner Minchew and Fletcher Adams.

I haven't seen South Panola. Does anyone have a link to any of their games this year?

Because Tupelo has kids that are better receivers in all likelihood and he can run a more complex offense? noidea

Just keep giving Brandon no respect. Brandon is healthy now and playing great too. We'll see what happens.
