d'Iberville's first home playoff game since 08!

d'Iberville's first home playoff game since 08!

Does this help the Warriors? Since they are known for packing the stands for every game. Does this play a roll in the game at all?

RE: d'Iberville's first home playoff game since 08!

I'm not a fan of D'Iberville

But the stats look like this.

Since 2005.

D'Iberville has won 1 road playoff game. That coming in 2008 against Northeast Jones.

Away playoff record should be 1-4

That same time they are 5-1 at home including the 3-0 home record when making it the State title game in 2008.

They lost that game on a wide right Field Goal to Noxubee. Do have a state title from 2002.

It is best to play at home.

They host Meridian who is 8-3 overall and is 5-1 at home but 3-2 for away games.

Meridian has 3 State Titles with the last one being in 2008.

Good Luck.

It's always better to play at home.  I think this will help up Friday night but I am not sure if it will help enough.  The boys will still have to show up and play.  It could be the team that beat OS and Biloxi or it could be the team that stunk it up against GC, HC and Hancock.  Either way its good to have some playoff football back at Warrior Stadium.  And safe travels to all the Meridan Wildcats and their fans.

Yall can play in death valley, It won't matter, The refs can wear black and gold stripes and can be Dville school board members, It's so funny, Ok its like me going to fight Mike Tyson in a bare knuckle fight with sharp broken glass on our hands and he trained for a year and I been at the house eating pizza, Drinking beer and smoking cigarettes trying to make the weight limit..So close your eyes and think about my out come, Lol you see it, It don't look good for me. I'm Dville, Tyson is meridian.

This guy! We'll see, I've noticed in Region 3 nobody has a defense. Games where 40 points and 30 points are put on the board. This will be a low scoring victory for the Warriors! Go Warriors!

Hattiesburg has the talent to be the 1seed, I think they are clicking now, No team is just going to walk over them, One guy said he think Gp will just run over HHS but he failed to realize that HHS D is good at stopping the run if Gp beats HHS it will have to come thru the air,, No air game no win for Gp.

We played good D in our district but our Offenses can put points on the board, Don't play theses district 3-6a school close they will beat you if your team is not used to playing that style of ball, Think about all the come back wins that happen this year just in our district alone, OG vs petal, natchez vs meridian,OG vs meridian, OG vs Brandon, Brandon vs HHS, HHS vs OG, OG vs natchez, petal vs meridian that's just a few I named, So every week was a battles and each team had to check there hearts and play all 4 QTRs. So it will be a different style of football for the coast teams, If they have any brain farts and play on and off they will be in for a long night.

Re: d'Iberville's first home playoff game since 08!

I hope Meridian will take D'Iberville as lightly as some of the people in this forum!
Should be a great game! Buckle your chin straps because the Warriors just might be Buster Douglas Friday Night!

As far as concerns of Warrior Stadium's visitor side being too small, OS is the only school that has filled it in years!! No one supports their team like the Warrior fans, and you can bet the home side will be slammed!! I've seen the away games for Meridian on film. They have more players on the field than fans in the stands! I hope you do travel for this one, your team deserves it!! Good luck to both teams!

Go Warriors!!

Re: d'Iberville's first home playoff game since 08!

All of tigerbaits posts are about how the teams playing against region 3 teams better not make mistakes like the region 3 teams plays flawless football. Please dude, this is high school. If Petal, Meridian, HHS, or Brandon has any "brain farts" or whatever, they will pay just as bad. The reason region 3 teams are so high scoring is because most drives only last about 3 minutes ending in either an interception or hail mary td pass. I watched the HHS-Meridian game and it was not impressive there had to be at least 3 picks by both teams just throwing the ball up and praying. Its all about ball control thats why SP wins regardless of having an up or down year. And thats why Pic scores like they like do. Region 3 as a whole is rather young this year and are much more likely to slip up this year. Petal is at the top of that region because they play disciplined and have a game plan. They don't just chunk the football down field and hope someone will run under it. They control the football and make drives. Thats the style of football played on the coast as well. Some teams on the coast may run a spread style offense but its prolly 90 percent run. It doesnt matter how fast the secondaries are because they are usually a non factor. If the D line isnt ready to fight then the Defense will be on the field a lot for Meridian.

RE: d'Iberville's first home playoff game since 08!

I see what you are saying but I think meridian beat HHS like 48-21 or something like that, you shouldn't go off that game HHS was out of wack, HHS just put the kid in that should have Been the starter all season,Now j hatten will play some QB but he has been moved to the slot WR spot now, I told the HHS people that the hatten kid is not a QB but he can run the QB zone read real good so look for him in a few plays to run that play but he is not a great passer, On short routes he can hit but has no zip on thr ball, This is where there real QB come in at now this kid can throw it, he just need game EXP, But if he is having fun out there and they turn him lose he will and can light it up.. If you was going to watch flim on meridian you should have got Oak grove game and petal or Brandon you would have gotten a way better look at meridian game plan..

I know it was spring football but didn't D'iberville play Hattiesburg in a spring game? Don't know the outcome can anyone help out on this one? I know that does not mean a whole lot though I was just wondering how they did against a Region 3 team.

Thanks for the information. What does getting raped mean in terms of score? Maybe you are right about them not being the same team because if that is so and the #3 team raped them then what would that mean to region 4.

Spring game was awful!!!!!!!!!! 'ville QB situation was in question. Lots of INTs and bad plays. They ave worked hard since then. i don't know why everyone on here goes by spring games....this is a time to see what some of these kids can do and see what they need to work on.
