Thats 3 for 3 on Elway kids who received full offers to play at the next level and all walked away within 1 year of arriving on campus. Maybe when you are born with a silver spoon, you dont develop the same hunger as some of the less fortunate. I would like to hear other opinions on this topic.

I cant imagine the kind of pressure this kid has been under trying to live up to his dad.Not sure if he was a D1 quarterback most likely a better fit would have been D2 and not so much in the national spotlight.I guess they give the scholarship to the next deserving kid on the team. The whole recruiting process is something I will never understand and was the most frustrating part of my sons last 2 years of high school football.

I agree with you on the pressure this young man has undergone being the son of a star athlete. I remember playing them in the superbowl when he was in the second grade, and the amount of cameras there were incredible for a 8yr old game. I think they even showed clips during the Broncos superbowl game against the Packers. After his last high school game when we intercepted him 7 times,I never would have thought he would have ended up in the Pac 10.
There is no rhyme or reason to recruiting, as the most sought after kid this cycle in Colorado plays up in Steamboat Springs, against 2A competition. Think how great our kids all would have looked playing against that competition. I can assure you this kid has not thrown against DB like Tyree, or Will or any of the other top DB in the metro area. With this said, I do wish him the best of luck. 43 days until graduation!!! I'm excited.
