Pasadena Memorial vs South Houston (Memorial 24-3 FINAL)
Had to call an audible as I was not able to get out to Butler in time for the Yates/Reagan game. So I came to one of my favorite places in Veterans in Pasadena. So TPI will bring you updates from this game.

RE: Pasadena Memorial vs South Houston
SH was not able to put anything together on opening drive, but PM wasted no time getting it done. QB Tate Gresham, Daniel Moura and Nathan Mourik used the ground game to get in the zone. Gresham got in from 2 yds out.

Off topic, but I love cobering games here. The hospitality is outstanding.
And Chick-f-A sandwiches are great too.

RE: Pasadena Memorial vs South Houston
PM again goes done the field with ease. This drive was mainly Thaddeus Stewart, a soph, getting most of the yards. Coach Snelson told me about him last week and he is impressive.
Gresham again on 2 yd TD.

RE: Pasadena Memorial vs South Houston (PM leads 14-0 start of 2
After SH QB Dominquie McCoy picked up a couple of first downs, it seemed like the Trojans were going to get moving. PM took over after punt, but penalties and more penalties forced the Mavericks to a 4th and 47. SH next drive it was McCoy again moving the chains. But on 3rd down, PM Wykie Freeman INT returned 65 yds for a TD.

AV, how good is Darren Leaks for SH? I know he is being recruited, just wondering if he has grade issues....

RE: Pasadena Memorial vs South Houston (PM leads 21-0 half)
PM started with the ball and came up with nothing. SH McCoy runs for several first downs and now up to 11 yds. Leroy Scott also getting in on the action. In the end, the Trojans cashed in for FG from Jorge Pineda from 26 yds.

bigmccoog wrote: AV, how good is Darren Leaks for SH? I know he is being recruited, just wondering if he has grade issues.... He has looked OK. Nothing eye-popping, but then again, SH has not got much going up to this point anyways. For SH, I like Leroy Scott, McCoy and Leaks. McCoy has most of the yards. He has been the only one to consistently move the chains. As for the grades, don't know.

After going back and forth with not a lot happening, PM last drive produces points. QB Brian Schultz hits Aaron Dean for a first down and Jacobi Hopkins continued on the ground attack. Antonio Cabrera finished the drive with a 41 yd FG

Ahmard is Wykie "Catcha" Freeman being looked at by any colleges? The kid is holding it down at that corner, not many teams have thrown the ball on his side. And the teams that have he's either intercepted the ball or defended the pass. He has sick speed,i've seen him run pass his entire secondary to walk down a couple of players that had at least a 25 to 30 yard distance between him. He has the grades to play D1 the height and the speed. I'm callin him "Catcha Freeman" because I've seen him do just that go get anything that gets pass the secondary.

I interviewed him at the end of the game. He is solid and there is no doubt he will end up on a college squad. A couple of weeks back, he was on my TPI Top 35 Unranked players listing. I remember him two years ago at the UH camp. Speaking of INTs, he took one to the house last night from 65 yds. Check back next week for when I run his article. If you want, go to his profile an place an alert on him. This way when article is written about him, it will send a HOT News email.

AV Does Pasadena Memorial really have the personel to bring home the 22-5a State Championship without Bo Snelson? Without Bo Snelson they have be forced to use several players to get to where they are now. From my understanding Wykie Freeman has 4 younger brothers, one that will be at Memorial next year.Next weeks game against Deer Park will be a good one.Memorials RB JP Pettway will be back to slice and dice up their secondary.Thaddeus Stewart has returned 3 kickoff's back for touchdowns one for 100+ yards and he's just a sophmore. Not to mention Nathan Mourick who has been Moss'in cornerbacks the entire season as Dick Vital says, "Prime Time Player Baby". Their coaches have do a hell of a job with them all I can say is "MAV PRIDE " !!!!!!!!!!!

While I do know that Bo Did Everything, I have not seen all the teams in 22-5A and it was my understanding that PM had some guys out. I do like the ground game of the Mavs. There were a few backs who really impressed, Stewart being the for sure future. Coach Snelson told me about him in advance. I like the coach there, stand up guy. But then again, Houston, and Texas for that matter has great coaches.
