Gonzalez singled and Weldon had two walks, but Gainesville leaves bases loaded. Weldon is well over 50 pitches through 2 innings for Ringgold.

Still in top of 3rd, 8-0 Gainesville, Grand Slam Stephen Mason

RBI single from Anglin. Another 2-RBI single by freshmen Whitenton, and RBI single from Sims Griffith. Welton throws another 25-30 pitches. Around 80 pitches and pitcher warming up in bullpen

RG coach pulls pitcher down 8 0. Why? Let him take one for
team and save everything for game 3?

They probably took him out because he was over 80 pitches through 3 innings, had around 5 or 6 walks, and was laboring fast.

So what had happened was....Ringgolds pitcher got taken out and put at first after giving up 8 runs in the 3rd. While he was at first warming up he said something to the GHS dugout and coach Kemp told him to hush. So then Ringgolds coach comes over and tells Coach Kemp not to yell at his players and they started jawing chest to chest and had to be broken up by the ump.

I'm guessing Kemp is filling the pressure after blowing game 1 for his team. Sometimes emotions get the best of you.

Bases loaded for Gainesville and Whitenton up. Douglas is relieved by Morris for Ringgold.

Granger dad...

Well first off Ringgold did hand them their first loss of the season earlier on; that's bound to infuriate anyone. But the Ringgold students are here and have been on the Elephant players all day (very funny I might add) but it seemed to be affecting some of the players. One of the Gainesville players hit a towering home run and pointed at the students going around third base causing chirps to come from the Ringgold bleachers.

The pitcher was pulled and moved to first base, he was taking some throws from infielder's during the pitching change, and there was an errant throw from across the diamond that flew into the Gainesville bench. One of the players started jawing with the new Tiger first basemen and the third base coach for the Red Elephants runs across the field saying something to the players I could not make out what was being said. With that occurring, Coach Tucker runs out to defend his player and seems to get in a heated confrontation with the opposing coach. This prompts all of the players to start engaging in some chatter and looked for a second as if the benches were to clear... Control was quickly restored, in my opinion it's just good high school play off baseball.
