Re: Thomas Jefferson fans

It's sad to see grown adults acting like that. How can we teach our kids to lose with class if their parents can't even lose with class? Those kids and Coaches from Curtis have worked too hard for opposing parents to try to ruin their celebration of a championship. Some people just need to grow up.

Re: Thomas Jefferson fans

For the record, I'm not a parent of a player on any team in last nights tournament games.  There was a glaring problem after the games.  During the announcement of the all-tournament selections I saw all of the CBS parents and players clap and recognize all of the deserving teams and individual accomplishments.  It was funny that when CBS teams and players were introduced the only people clapping were their own fans.  confused It seems that the "adults" should learn a little about sportsmanship and maybe that would trickle down to their children.  It seems that some schools don't have a problem when they beat up on teams but when they lose (in a well played game) they're not mature enough to take it and learn from it and get better.

Re: Thomas Jefferson fans

We all know why teams/parents in reion 1a have a problem with curtis basketball. This excludes BCA because they have some students with enhanced skin tones also.

Re: Thomas Jefferson fans

Sounds a lot like the DEA and CCA fans last night. None of them clapped for RTCA, in fact some even booed! I personally heard a DEA father yell for his son to not do anything on the court but wait till after the game and "get him" then, speaking about the RTCA player. Another "adult", and I use the term loosely said "RTCA used to be a good school till they let those black boys in". Really? I truly thought we were beyond that sort of thing! Maybe they should play the game without fans! By the way after the games I saw the KIDS congratulating each other, more than I can say for the adults.

Re: blackdogfan

We all know that RTCA people walk around with their shiny halo's. You want to talk about class? Which team had a player ejected? Some will stoop to all levels to be successful and you guys have hit the bottom of the barrell. Keep those halo's polished up. You guys are the epitone of the GISA. Way to go!

It's funny how everyone hates the schools who are doing good. Everyone whining is the parents of who's teams aren't good!

Re: Thomas Jefferson fans

And we wonder why schools leave GISA. Is it really about skin color? Please its 2013 not 1973! Parents and some students need to grow up

Re: blackdogfan

Did I say RTCA was perfect? No. I'm not a parent of any student. I happened to be there and was sitting on the DEA side and was shocked at the behavior of ADULTS. I made no mention of any players on any team until I mentioned their class after the game. Evidently you were not a GISA student or you would be able to read.

Re: efk50

Tj should have beat curtis both boys and girls, curtis's parents were  way worse...you have on old blonde headed woman yelling eff you to the tj and nat greene fans, come one show some class, and yet the call themselves a "christian school"..they have the worst fans in the gisa..i hope someone will put them out early for everybody elses sake in the state tournament...nobody wants to hear those incest fans screaming and yelling..and every school was against curtis because of their terrible fans and players, there is something wrong with that..tj will do fine at state because they have good coaches and good players..curtis will not because they went out and bought their team....i just hope they know everybody will be there to cheer against those "christian" players!

Re: blackdogfan

Evidently you were not a GISA student either because you think RTCA has class...DEA has a right to be mad they do not go out and buy players like RTCA does.

Re: blackdogfan

So adult fans should only act with class toward another school if they think that school has class? My post was not about RTCA it was about small minded ADULTS who acted like racist bigots. By the way two of the boys in question have been at RTCA since middle school and before and the other one is a coach's son. How is that buying a team? Also I am a former GISA student who was valedictorian of my class (not RTCA) and I graduated magna cum laude from college. Again READ my posts. My comments were aimed at ADULTS.

Re: blackdogfan

How long has that coach, who's son just happens to be the best player RTCA has, been a coach? And are you sure it's the coach's son or maybe the coach's lady friend's son. Get your lie straight before you proceed with it. Or eductae me on what the real story is behind the coach and his son, so I can correct others who are telling lies about that situation.

Re: blackdogfan

I will educate you.  Number 2 has been at RTCA since elementary school.  Number 5 (probably the best player) has been at RTCA since middle school (and he is just a sophomore).  Number 4 has been at RTCA since elementary school.  Number 10 came in 10th grade and has played football and baseball - this is his first ever year playing basketball. Number 11 is the youngest son of Coach Gardner and his WIFE of many years.  Coach Gardner is a retired public school principal and former head basketball coach and ordained minister.   I know these details.  This is not hearsay.  Even though I don't have any children in RTCA, I have family who does.  Now, who is telling lies?

Be careful what you say about individuals when you don't know what you are talking about.  It's called SLANDER!!!!

Re: Thomas Jefferson fans

Sounds like the adults from Brentwood on Friday night- cursing and  using racial slurs during the last few minutes of the game. The FPCA team said it was a normal occurrence and they were used to it. How sad that they have become use to it. It has been reported over and over again and nothing is ever done. Very sad!

Re: Tj fans go after own coaches

It may have been only a parent or two but it seems to happen at several schools. Maybe the head of school at TJ was trying not to say something he should not have said. I don't know I was not there. I did hear form a coach that was there that both TJ and Curtis fans need to let the kids play and coaches coach. Bottom line is most of the parents who act like jerks son is not any good anyway and they(parent) probaly didn't play a minute past high school themselves

Why remain anonymous and post lies on a message-board? There were no racial slurs directed to anyone on that court, however, their were plenty of kind words expressed to an official who changed the course of the game with roughly 3:30 to go in a 3 pt game.So to sum it all up...,I'm
calling your anonymous user name a liar.

BTW,
T Whittle was sitting in your stands and I don't think he's mentioned anything about your bs story .

And since you've decided to bring up the "R" word, how is it that a school that's roughly 80% caucasian field a basketball team that's almost exclusively non-white? Sounds like racism to me!!! HYPOCRITES!!!
