Re: State Championship - SO WHAT!?

Not without the refs. Strangely, the games were blacked out in the South. Wonder why? They shouldnt have even beaten us a few years back when, "the refs" aided them by fouling out 8 of our players before the end of the 3rd quarter. You probably would try and call it discipline issues. i KNOW HOW YOU PEOPLE THINK. iT IS WHAT IT IS DUDE. the GHSA has been bought off and is no longer a public school governing body. Its gone corporate like everything else in America. CHAMPIONSHIPS TO THE HIGHEST BIDDER!

Final was 73-50.

Rebel, no use in trying to discus anything with you. You see one side only.

Proud of WA and the way Gaines gets to go out. Now time for all those sophomores to leave their mark the next two years.

I guess it's safe to say Lanier had the 2nd best team in class A this year

I would also agree, Lakeland should have a runner up trophy.

Re: What was the final score?

Really BC, i TOTALLY get where many of you are coming from. Its just that when I returned from the war, I jumped back on the sport scene, only to see it was geared towards money, and not kids. Most of us love our teams on here, and it is a vent, but at the end of the day, we have to be honest with ourselves. If their is , lets say, a lack of discipline amongst many public schools, shouldn't the refs in the south be able to determine that just as the refs in atl and macon seem to do EVERY YEAR?  When this was not addressed after a few years of me being back, I started to wonder what was really going on.  GHSA covers the whole state, therefore, uniformity in officiating AND ALL RULES should be evident. THIS CASH COW THAT Ga football has become is the very reason Private schools choose to go public. That fact that they recruit is important. Its how the populate schools, but the loopholes are endless.  THIS WHOLE THING IS A MESS DUDE, I don't see how responsible people can do this to children and call it SPORT.

Thanks for your service.  I won't address the rest of your post because i rarely agree with what you have to say about private schools, but thank you very much for your service.

Re: State Championship

not without refs. same stuff every year.  people like you will give credit to coaches one year, kids the next year, but never to the obvious referee help they receive every year.  smh
