The "Victory Lap" in question, is a tradition that Wilco has had over the last 15-20 years. When they win a Region or State championship, they always take a victory lap, primarily to celebrate with their supporters. Usually the lap doesnt even complete a full lap because they generally stop when they get to their fans.
If it were done in malice or with "Bad Intentions", I would agree with you whole heartedly, however, I know for a fact that it was not.
The negative attention being thrown at the Wilco program & kids, should be thrown in the direction of those who saw fit to disrupt the lap with "Bad Intentions". Those individuals should be the ones being chastised, not the kids who had just won an emotionally charged, hard fought contest.
