Re: Way to go RTCA!!
C'mon, ob1.... Give credit where credit is do. We went to Louisville and had to outplay a very physical and disciplined team tonight and we did it in their backyard. Not only that, we had terrible officiating. If you were at the game then you witnessed the first time in American football history that a team got called for defensive holding on a run play... Total bs call, not to mention it was 25 yards down the field and it put them in the red zone and gave them opportunity to score.

RE: Way to go RTCa
I've known OB1 a few years now, he just likes to stir emotions.
If anyone watched that game tonight and failed to give RT credit for all they overcame, then they simply don't like RT. Brentt Anderson played a great game as a freshman, and RT's defense and offensive line simply refused to quit. Rico Rogers, Marion Dingle, and Josh Mimbs ran the ball hard every time they touched it. Hard-fought win against a very good Jaguar football team.

The only credit I'll give is to your D and O line, they out manned us from the first play to the last. your Coach is a complete punk ass, but I won't take anything away from your kids, they played a good game. Wouldn't be too hard on the refs, being they should have thrown your punk coach out for coming onto the field. Easy to see how things could get way out of hand at RTCA with their win at all cost attitude and the piss poor example you have for a Coach. Also no question he came from the public school system, he's as ghetto as it gets, if the job opens up at Memorial, he'd be a perfect fit. Good Luck against Fredrica

Re: Way to go RTCa
I understand that RTCA played up to potential last night. I have stated all year that they are the team to beat talent wise, due to clever use of the Goal money. I also have stated that I understand everyone has that option should they want. I really would like to see GISA put the sit out for one year on a transfer into effect to at least make sure the transfer students are coming for a education not just sports glory. This only applies to high school students as well so if they want to recruit they would have to make a 4 year commitment to the student. I think the type kid they recruited would be screened much closer by most!

Re: Way to go RTCa
yes RTCA has a good team. Yes they came to Louisvile and won but at what cost. How many of your players has been at your school since first grade? TJ can be proud how we played because we are not a bought team. Facts are facts and without your heavy recruiting you do not go to state. Now we have two AA schools playing for the A state championship. Credit giving your #5 is a athlete.

Also what class shown by your coach grabbing a TJ sign and parading across the football field. What an example!

Re: Way to go RTCa
Sounds like we have some sore losers, I'm glad the players played for your team showed some class and took this loss like men. And if we had lost, I would get on here just like after we goofed at Fredrica and congradulate a team that outplayed us. You all talked so much trash about our team and our coaches all year and now that you've been beaten by the team you all dogged so much, you really sound like jerks. Shame on you. I'm glad your students played like fine your men and were able to keep it classy.

Re: Way to go RTCa
I've stayed off this thing all year but the last post said state the facts... Where did you get your facts from about GOAL at RTCA? Fact- we did pick up about 10-12 football players last year, mostly from Toombs County because this is where the new Coach came from. Fact 8 graduated last year. Fact we have 4-5 new football players on this years team. Fact goal requirements for RTCA 3.0 GPA and must not be an incoming Jr. or sr. Fact RTCA has 26 of 343 students that receive GOAL. Fact only 8 in HS and 3 are girls. Fact. RTCA picked up over 40 students this year from last year! Fact 9 are HS students... I met with the Head earlier this year to get these numbers because of all the "talk". Seems to me RTCA is on the upswing and growing what every private school has to do to survive!
Hope this clears things up! I didn't want my child attending a school that does not do the right thing! I knew the new head and know he will do it right!
Side note.... Don't throw rocks in a glass house when talkin about coaches! That's all ill say about that... --------------------------------------------- --- USER76 wrote:

Re: Way to go RTCa
great job posting the FACTS Philforpresident. and as far as coaches go, i wouldn't trade Thomas Smith or any of his staff for any other coach in this league. our boys absolutely love them and love playing for them and they set a shining example for these players to follow. we are proud to carry on the winning tradition that our school has had over the years are very excited for whats to come!

Fact....
343 students and you are in single A??? Let me guess, y'all have those huge elementary grades and no one in the high school....wait a minute, 40 on the fb team? Must have some 4th graders dressing out because certainly y'all dont have that many boys in a little ol single A school?? SMH

I just wanted to quote this so it couldn't be deleted later. Very interesting number breakdown Phil . --------------------------------------------- --- Philforpresident wrote:

Re: Way to go RTCa
You must be the one that delete posts. Someone from TJA wouldn't do that. Truth is I know you have those numbers and truth is those recruits came after the Gisa count. Truth is I am actually from your area and know the facts myself. Truth is you are a AA school playing in single A. I know more that what you think I know....I have friends that have kids that go to RTCA But doesn't change the game which is what this is about. It was a good game between two hard hitting teams. That is a fact.
