Nick Chubb to Calhoun!.....FALSE
He was wearing a Calhoun helmet in the Junior Bowl. Someone said his Cedartown helmet just wasn't "fixed" for the game, but that seems like nonsense. Chubb is probably enrolled at Calhoun for the spring term. Can the Calhoun folks confirm?
“That’s a really good team we played, and to be honest, they are where we want to be,” River Ridge coach Robert Braucht said of Ridgeland.

Yes, it is very real...
You can watch the Georgia Junior Bowl on ESPN3 and see for yourself.

I don't question what you saw....I question what it means. If he has actually transferred.

Well, according to Jeb he will be at your school when classes start this month.

Re: Yes, it is very real...
K. It's possible Jeb was being sarcastic. If he transfers, I'll be surprised. It's certainly possible, but I find it odd that none of the cedar town folks are on here raising hell about it. I checked the 4A board and its pretty quiet.

Yep its true , he's enrolled and will begin after Christmas, also have QB that has enrolled from Texas somewhere around the Houston area, and have one enrolling from A-villa also , and a WR from GC, and a LB from Dalton , its fun being a Houn fan ;)-

That's five new faces......but I doubt all of them are at the level of the Chubb kid. That's a big move. I hope these kids are team players. :) With our returning OL the Chubb kid will do well....as long as he can share the ball. We will still be a balanced team, and Urbano has earned his carries. Just my $.02.

Re: I find it odd that he would be wearing a Calhoun helmet....
I dont think this is at all just transfers, I think with some of these kids there have been some talks with coaches which is recruiting, you can say what you want but Calhoun is very good at it, hey you have to do what you have to do, second place is just the first loser, now all you people who have to play Calhoun need to make sure these are bonofide moves, especially if you get a kid from Dalton because they seem to not completely understand that term.

Is this high school or college?
I just hope Lamar can make some "legal" moves. Heard we might be getting a 6'4" WR.

I don't agree....
.....with the philosophy "second place is first loser". I think you were being facetious, but it's something far too many kids are taught. Second place is "last loser".
If the moves are bona fide, let them come. If not, and we play them, we deserve whatever consequences come our way. I'm not a huge fan of HS kids changing schools for sports, but I understand it. Again, out of the five kids mentioned, how many will earn real playing time?

We are waiting for the clearinghouse to approve his transcript.
